Probably some sort of truth within their lies like the child was crying in the car and one of the parents did something to silence her. You really can’t put anything past people. JMO

My guess is that little Nola was disposed of in a dumpster as seems to be the way young children are thrown away these days. Security Video, cell phone records etc. will tell the tale.

The story never held water. NEVER.

In a brief news conference held on June 11, New Castle County Police said this was not an abduction and this is being treated as a homicide investigation by Maryland State Police.

The FBI is also investigating.

The area where police were told the abduction occurred is mostly wooded, with almost no shoulder to safely park a car. There are a few long streets leading to a development and corporate compound tucked away off the road.

Delaware girl reported missing now treated as MD homicide; body found in Cecil County

Detectives no longer believe Nola Dinkins was abducted, as her mother initially claimed, police said. The Amber Alert has also been canceled.

Someone upthread said there is usually a kernel of truth in every lie. I agree. I suspect whatever happened to little Nola it began with the toddler crying or whining. And ended with an adult having a temper tantrum and killing her. JMO

Some folks should not have children. Unfortunately, it's usually the very ones who are incapable of recognizing that about themselves.

Homicide investigation! Heartbreaking! Again!

I wonder what evidence LE found to prove mother was lying and that homicide is likely what happened? Very sad.

Also wondering if mother was alone with precious Nola and told husband the story then he recounted to police( but wasn't there) . Or was he there too. And... Ugh. This is horrific..

Oh, good grief. Thank goodness this precious girl's mother didn't plan the aftermath of whatever happened very well, so hopefully Nola will be found today and the wheels of justice can begin to turn.
