Three students have been shot during a cookout Saturday night at Delaware State University. They've been taken to hospital and are stable. Students were asked to stay in their dorms overnight and all non-students were asked to leave the campus while the search for the suspect continues.

Early Sunday morning, shots rang out again at a student complex, but no-one was injured.

A description of a suspect has been issued but a university spokesperson declined to confirm if a suspect has been identified.

Police were looking for a black man with short dreadlocks, 5-feet-9 to 5-feet-11 and wearing a tan and blue long sleeve T-shirt and white sneakers, according to the alert. The suspect was driving a dark colored 4-door vehicle.

I'm a little confused. Can't find any updates on this shooting and police have only issued a description of the suspect in the second shooting, where no-one was hurt. Yet in the first shooting at the cookout where three people were hurt and there were apparently many witnesses, there's nothing?

Authorities have said the three injured were not students.
