BBM. Link please?

How do you provide a link to something that didn't happen or something that may not have happened. lol I am not going to assume that it did happen. Until I see a document that they did test it, and this is going on two years now, I am gulty of assuming that it didn't happen. I suppose we could sleuth the chain of custody and that may help us determine where this substance has been or at least where it is now. So, in sleuthing, does anyone know what the Dr Vass did with the adipocere like substance once he was finished with it. It is prolly in a vial and no longer part of the napkins. If anyone knows what the name on the vial is, perhaps I can try to look up its chain of custody.

I see these statements that say just because the doc isnt there does not mean they are not doing that test or do not have that evidence. I think it has been long enough for these things to surface, but they haven't. I think we are stuck with what we have in the current docs and there is no further testing to be done. IMO

We are implementing the death penalty also because this is our first case where the mother did not claim insanity. So in essence we are just following protocol. The subject or topic is about the decomp and how discusting that is, but it also paints a monster of a mother. So far, I just see speculation and test and process of elimination, but no proof that this is what happened. IMO

respectfully snipped and bbm....

Please explain how you can reasonably assert your statement above??

The State Prosecutors have filed their Notice of Aggravating Circumstances. Per protocol, they have listed for the defense which legal reasons they're using to justify the death penalty in the murder case against Casey.
Link: http://www.wftv.com/pdf/23545129/detail.html

Your opinion that the State is trying to implement death because "this is our first case where the mother did not claim insanity" is entirely illogical and baffling (in my opinion). This is not a legal aggravating circumstance, nor is it listed by the Prosecution. It has been stated many, many times before on this site as well as by numerous respected lawyers in Florida that this Prosecutorial team is extremely experienced and knowledgeable. They have an amazing reputation....and not just in Florida. Please bear in mind that they are seeking Justice for Caylee....first and foremost. That is their job and they are very good at advocating for the victim. Caylee is the only victim here.....not Casey by a long shot!! If you have knowledge that the SAO is seeking the death penalty because the murder suspect Casey is not pleading insanity, then please provide corrorborating information. Thanks!

I understand it is horrific to imagine Casey dealing with Caylee's decomposing remains. It makes no sense at all, but then again Casey's lies, actions, deception and statements make absolutely no sense as well. I have witnessed the trials of other wretched individuals who have performed senseless acts of cruelty and brutality against their own children. Sadly, these "monster parents" do exist. They are rare, but they do exist. They are not all mentally insane. We cannot wish away Casey's seemingly "insane" behavior or try and argue or twist the facts away from Casey (think Cindy). The facts are what they are. I admire the professionalism of the SAO.

JMO....

NTS: All, every bit of evidence is available to defense for testing. They have done nada, nothing, not one thing with the evidence that we have seen. It does no good to speculate about SA when they release the discovery and defense ignores it. If they can't prove what was on the napkin it just will not come in. The fact that it is mentioned, however, leads one to believe it may be significant. If the testing was done outside Florida and SA only released what they received from the lab I suppose we will all have to wait until trial to get the results......unless defense does their job and asks for those results and it is possible they already have them and that is why they aren't jumping up and down about it. jmo

IIRC The adipocere like substance has not been proven to actually be adipocere. They haven't even tested it to see if it is or was. Furthermore, there has been no test on the adipocere like substance to see if it was like human adipocere.

So if I say i found a peanut butter like substance, or a substance like peanut butter, you should interpret that as it is not peanut butter, but like peanut butter. I would think. IMO

I wonder if they are able to test to see if that's what it is? And if there's a way to pinpoint whether it is human or animal? That would be interesting to find out. It could be important to the case or easily explained away.

Yes somewhere in here someone posted a Dr response to this and he said that it could easily be determined in a lab environment. So I ask, why not determine it if it is so easy. Instead we get silence and no further test. I think it may be because the Dr Vass never said it was adipocere so why test it. He just said it was like adipocere. It is not the states job to prove something is not adipocere if they are not claiming that it is adipocere. So it is left up to the media to speculate.

There would have to be some official document claiming that it is adipocere and has been tested and proven to be so. That document does not exist, nor has the state ever claimed there was adipocere on any napkins. IMO

Actually, as far as the napkins go, we don't know if they have not been tested or are currently awaiting testing. Just because the info has not been released under the crazy "Sunshine Law" does not mean it is not there. I am not certain we will see all of the evidence and results until trial anyhow.

The paper towels were tested, and the results were released a long time ago (see attachment). Summary: the substance on the paper towels was extracted in methanol. GC-MS analysis detected the following fatty acids: 38% oleic/vaccenic, 33% palmitic, 23% stearic, 6% myristic, consistent with human or pig adipocere.

Before anyone starts in on the Bacon Theory, you'd better do a search of the old threads. ;)

Thanks AZlawyer, I must have missed or forgotten that bit of information. Thanks for all you do! :blowkiss:

Small amounts of THC and Cannibinol on the paper towels as well?

Leads me to assume she smoked a joint and moved caylee's decomposing body :(
Liquid courage in smoke form Casey? Shame on you.

maybe it wasn't a squirrel after all maybe...just maybe a pig climbed into her trunk....

:croc:sorry...

Thank you, AZlawyer! Yes, that "meat and/or pizza in the trunk" theory was thoroughly debunked in the old threads. Jolynna also has a good post in the Mythbusters thread. It's post #36 there.

ETA: Sorry I didn't get it to link! But it's worth checking out in Mythbusters! :)

Here's an idea for the defense - ICA was planning a goodbye party for Tony, cause he was thinking about going to New York. And she wanted it be to be the biggest party evah! So it was to be a Hawaiian Luau - and she needed a pig to roast on a spit.

So she picked up the pig and put it in her trunk, but it was hot and it went off and then the party was cancelled and then ....well....

Whatcha think Jose? Maybe.........

BTW, the conclusion of the report I attached says that the chemical extractions showed "adipocere ratios consistent with human decomposition."

If you're gonna contribute theories this good, you really should bill him for it. ;) I love this defense theory! lol

Sorry AZ had to throw a wrench in it with the human decomp factor. Every party has one, ya know. lol

Thankfully we do - yes - LOL.

BUT, when I posted the above - I walked away from my computer and was struck by a deep sense of shame. While I made the comment in "fun" - it occurred to me there is nothing at all funny about the decomp of a two year old in the trunk of a car - and my comment was so disrespectful to Caylee - I really apologize for it.

It's one thing to laugh about the idea of squirrels, but I went too far.:blushing:

Thanks Az. I was not gonna supply the results . I was gonna make someone do some homework for a change! ;)

NTS, it happened. I just wasn't going to do your homework for you. As some suggested earlier, go back and read some of the old threads. There's a wealth of information there. :)

fwiw, I didn't find your post to be disrespectful.

A little levity is needed around here once in a while, imo.

It's okay, logicalgirl. It's called coping. We all know what has happened to her and there is no disrespect intended. It's our response system responding to something that sounds outrageous to us at the time. Very similiar to "well, yes she walked to the site, bagged herself up......." Rather than argue we try to break the tension. It is a human response, a destressor, I would think.

On a serious note.....if it's not in a zip-lock bag KC isn't going to cook it. jmo

Thanks Beach - I needed that!

Cause I kinda sorta can see Baez putting that out there.....just sorta float it - until he meets AZLawyer of course.......and she says....:slap: and then she says :croc: so Baez says....:HBwhiteflag: and then he...
