Dear passengers, a very important announcement...

When passengers heard 'This is your Captain speaking' on a Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul, they probably expected an announcement of a delay or weather conditions. What they got was this:

' “You are witnessing a very important moment, dear passengers,” he goes on to say. “Before the clouds, the birds and the sky, I want to ask Hazel Çağın Gürleyen, who is traveling with you, to spend every second of our life together: Will you marry me?” he said before coming out of the cockpit amid applause.'

There's a video at the link. It's in Turkish, but just keep any eye on Hazel's face, as she very slowly realizes what's happening.

Awww....I love proposal videos! So sweet!

The look on the faces of the uninterested passengers is quite hilarious though! The guy across the aisle slept through the whole thing and was wondering what the heck was going on!
