This is the same sister that let it slip that the man was in jail and hinted at who he was, correct? I wonder if the detectives are a bit concerned she is saying too much?

You know, I've heard a few relatives say some things I would have thought LE would advise them not to- in this case I want to say the detectives have been very calculated in using the family members and what they disclose. OR they are just in the moment and reacting naturally.. either way for me, it underlines for me this is for real

Well that congressman is my kind of guy. He is basically saying the FBI needs to leave the office and place boots on the ground to look at these cases.

The question in the back of my mind before was always when the FBI was called in..did they go out and investigate themselves. This makes it clear they did not..they simply read police reports and then closed the case. That's not investigation..that's reading. They are taking the info they were fed and leaving it at that.

I think that the news agencies picking up on the Smiley Face and then using it to publicize this case has hindered the case. That is by far not the most impressive evidence the two detectives have, and trivializes the investigation.

I wish we knew the 30 they have excluded. It seems it would not take away from the investigation to release those.

Boy, he really reams the FBI a new one! On a more serious note, he makes some valid points. The least of which, they really do need to do some real investigation, as opposed to the posturing they've been doing for the past decade. And, imho, Kristi Piehl (and the other talking heads) should really clarify that this is not a case of drunken frat boys drowning. Only 38% of those who have disappeared and/or drowned involved alcohol consumption. So, arguing the drowning due to alcohol bit is not only moot, but a red herring. But that's jmo.

My very dearest SeriouslySearching,:blowkiss:
I had posted before about Gary Peterson on this thread and Nick Garza's thread. Gary came up with over 70 names during his investigation.
Here are the names that he found;

Wow~ The Congressman came across very well. He is laying it on the FBI heavily and they deserve it. I am highly impressed with the way he is handling it and I think the FBI is going to have to answer to him.

Thanks, Dark! Uhm...I don't see the names tho. Am I missing something? LOL

I agree and I also think that dubbing these the Smiley Face Gang is wrong..the faces were not at every site nor every state. I do believe there are other valid connections or so many people would not have put themselves on the line so to speak.

I agree that the smiley faces have made this seem a bit hokey for lack of a better term. However, they did mention certain nicknames which were left at some of the scenes, too. We don't know what other things could be tying this all together, but they seem clear on the motive and everything. I find that very interesting. I would love to know what they believe the motive is.

Me too SS..I would love to know the motive and the facts they haven't released that connect all these. In time we will..in the meantime I am going to keep digging. There are so many coincidences and coupling of facts that these cases are screaming out to be related to each other and solved.

Could not agree more, DD, but I'm not sure they had alot of choice, I think they prob tried "the blue line way" first with no success, unfortunately.
You know, if I live to be 100, every time I hear or read "boots on the ground" I think of you :blowkiss:

Talk about "plain speak"

".. The FBI should get out of the office because crimes do not occur in the office.."

Shad- if I understand you clearly- are you saying the drowning aspect is a red herring- or the alcohol?

The people mag print is so tiny I had to save it to my pics and enlarge it. Chris' mom said: "He was murdered and his body was dragged and put into another spot in the river. As if he was a piece of trash".

Gannon said: "It appears that in some cases they are going online and specifically targeting these individuals".

Look, I know that people can get drunk and drown...but it's the circumstances around the drowning that I believe to be the issue here. IMO it's been the "chosen" COD.

Suzi...now THAT doesn't surprise me at all!
