of Jer & Deb's upcoming appearance, per vlpate's post 478, is virtually what they will say, imo.

Thank you vlpate for the sneak preview.

I do not believe that Debbie killed her daughter and nor do I believe that she is an alcoholic.
I often don't remember precisely what I have done on the previous evening, even stone cold sober.
She was in a state of shock and horror and hardly fit to remember anything, but she tried to be honest, although I think she used words inadvisedly because of the state she was in.

LE might have been better served if they had initially approached her from a position of her innocence instead of trying to batter her into submission and confusing her even further. And if I was her I wouldn't want to talk to them either.

In so far as National Coverage is concerned, this is quite obviously the way to go. Lisa is almost certainly many miles and probably many States away from where she went missing. Local Coverage will do nothing to help find her now.

And as far as evidence is concerned, there is plenty to point to an Abduction, which I won't go into at this point. It has all been torn to shreds by people who for some inexplicable reason always want The Parents to be Guilty. There was no logic to most of what they had to say.
Any normal, feeling person who saw Debbie in the first couple of days knows that she was distraught, and not from killing her daughter, otherwise she would hardly have blabbed in the way in which she did.

BBM...I agree national media is the way to go! If Lisa was abducted (which is a possibility) going on a syndicated show like Dr. Phil is a wise decision. It was one of the Top 25 Syndicated Shows for the week ending January 15, 2012, with 4,182,000 viewers. Dr. Phil was rated #1 best daytime talk show of 2011, based on his audience share. Talking with Dr. Phil offers them significant exposure. The target audience is women 25-54 (mom's and grandma's)...this is exactly who they need to be telling about their missing child.

This is all so sad...I just hope she is found.

Has it been stated by LE that neither of them are suspects?
Yes! MANY times!
Kansas City Police Captain Steve Young admitted there were no suspects

This was just the first one I could find. I think NO suspects definitely includes the parents wouldn't it? He has said this even very recently. I am not totally not understanding why they are allowed to be treated as such on here. It is against TOS and clearly stated as such.

I truly hope the upcoming interview is about this beautiful child and trying to find her. I doubt it though - friends, let's remember....

Actual snippets from the attached video:
On how it feels to be LE's main focus-
DB: "Terrible because my daughter's missing. The last thing that I want to have to worry about is something like that. I shouldn't have to put any energy, any time or effort into anything but finding her."

On her fear of being arrested -
"That's kinda a fear that I have, and the main fear with that is, if they arrest me people are gonna stop looking for her and then I'll never see her again (tears)."

Bold emphasis mine... the comments speak for themselves. Dr. Phil will be more of the same, but with a bit more polish.

Well since you jumped off on my post, and just FYI, I have never once said I thought Deborah hurt Lisa, nor have I said Jeremy hurt Lisa. Never.

Do I think she and/or Jeremy know where she is, yep....that's my opinion.

How many people do you know of that were guilty of a crime (killing someone else) yet before they were a suspect, went on a national talk show? I would think they would want to be out of sight, out of mind no matter what if they were guilty. Isn't that what everyone was saying, they want this case to go away, to make everyone forget?

Going on a syndicated national talk show isn't going to make anyone forget. The case had died down in the media, nationally and locally, everything people say what they think the parents wanted, and yet 4 months later they go on a syndicated national talk show? Doesn't make sense.

BBM. Scott Peterson to name just one. And his performance was used by the prosecution as evidence at his trial.

I do agree with you that it makes no "sense" but I also hold the opinion that killers are clueless when it comes to "sense"

From Picerno:

"On Friday, which was Lisa's first birthday, Bradley and Irwin's lawyer, John Picerno, held a news conference in which he claimed that police told him that Lisa's parents are suspects in her disappearance. Police deny this is true, which is another indication of their sparring relationship."

They are not the ones that have made this decision, their lawyer has. They have agreed and they have people around them that are supporting that decision. Everyone around them thinks they are innocent. Everyone.

Do you have inside information?

Many perps have gone on talk shows before arrested/charged.

Who knows?

We know EVERYONE on DB's side of the family thinks they're innocent.

...no #$#. Picerno is spinning. Of course LE told him "Off the record, Mr. Picerno, we believe your clients know what happened to Lisa."

...Is there any quesion? No. Can LE OFFICIALLY say they are suspects...a big fat NO. I suppose the parents are upset and are in a sparring relationship. Why else would they need two high profile Criminal Defense Attorneys?. They know LE thinks one of the killed their baby. Nothing new here. 99% of the public thinks they killed their child.

LE won't "officially' name them suspects till the evidence is in. Once they "officially" name a suspect, they have to turn over everything to the #$#$. Picerno wants them to call them suspects so he can get his hands on the evidence they have so far.

Because LE will not show him evidence, Picerno will not let them talk to LE anymore.

Picerno and Tacopino will present the best side of the parents for the public. Since this is the best setting possible with a wide eyed public who are not gong-ho on crime but are sympathetic to victims of crime, this is an attorney's wet dream.

Ohhhh, ok, derrr. I was struggling to figure out why that age group and why mothers and grandmothers.

If what you state is true, they underestimate us. :maddening: No mother is going to understand abandoning your baby.
