I'm not one of them. It was quite sobering to watch Diena Thompson giving her impact statement in court today facing the monster who brutally raped and murdered her little girl. I remember when Diena Thompson was in the same shoes as Deborah Bradley back in 2009. I wasn't a member of this forum so I can speak for the members here but on other forums including the so called body language "experts" who were convinced Diena knew more than she was saying and her possible involvement.

I wonder how those people feel now.

I'm not familiar with that case, but is it really that similar to Lisa's case? I will have to look it up. Did Diena Thompson give conflicting information in interviews like DB did? Was she drunk and "passed out?" I will have to check that out. To me, there is absolutely NO reason to lie when a child is missing...none...

If it were my child I wouldn't give up either. Look at Elizabeth Smart! Victims of child kidnapping have to stay optomistic, why not??

Oh, I wouldn't expect DB to give up on her child. I'm just wondering when she's going to start looking for her.

KMBC did not confirm anything.

He said that he was asked to appear on the show. "He said he does not believe that Irwin and Bradley were paid for their appearance."

Thanks Dr. Fessel. I don't know 'bout you, but I don't put a lot of stock into what Mr. Stanton has to say...

Did you watch it? Do you honestly think she was referring to the dogs? You have got to be kidding me. I don't mind debating but c'mon let's have some serious discussions and keep it real.

Yes, I am kidding you. I was reading from the transcription. I thought it was funny...looks like it didnt come out that way though. :floorlaugh:

I'm neutral on them getting paid. Apparently Bill Stanton thinks it would be horrible? Maybe he said that because deep down he doesn't think there is a need to increase the award money or that the money wouldn't even be used for that sort of thing. Or maybe he just wasn't thinking when he said that. Who knows :)

Don't hold your breath. DB is just where she wants to be... just out of the reach of LE. I hope that changes soon.

I really want to believe this couple, but then I hear her go off on the people who what to know what happened and how they have a theory, but that is what people do, they think and discuss. JI however, rarely opens his mouth to speak, I don't know why? She does all the talking for both of them. He sits and looks down, and cries, but never speaks.

We read about crimes here all the time and we blog and talk about the case until it hits the end and we know at that point who did what to whom. The thing here is for me, they have the same old story that a lot of others had and are sitting in jail. DB defended her drinking to the point of being drunk by saying she needed her mommy time. Her daughter is missing, how do you defend that? How do you defend sitting outside drinking while you child is sick and you don't check on her to see if her diaper is wet, or if she is in pain, or stuck between the bars of the crib? You don't do that as a mother. If she can't except the blame of drinking and not checking on her child, what else can't she accept? I would love to feel that they were innocent, but I don't. JMO I won't defend it.

On the clip I see, DB has her hand on JI's leg as he is talking. That's a move from Cindy's play book. She may be able to squeeze him is he slips up.

This is what I think too. I doubt any intruder would enter through a window without checking out all points of entry.

bbm-imho

I can remember asking the locals about a huge tree in the front yard of DB & JI's home, and if it would cast a shadow with the street lights on the area of the tampered window. It was comfirmed that yes it would. So why wouldn't a perp first attempt entry through a window that was shadowed from view? I doubt too that anything would point out that the doors were unlocked to someone wanting entry illegally. It makes perfect sense to me they would try a small window in the shadow of a tree over a door clearly visible by neighbours.

Doesn't look like the show is getting good reviews. Now she appears more guilty to more people than she did before ..lol

The mods have said that EVERYONE is entitled to his or her opinion. There are still a few other fence sitters here waiting for more hard evidence, and we'll keep speaking up. :rose:

:rocker: If anything, this interview convinced me even more toward the parents' innocense. Still on the fence but leaning in their favour.

You think Joe Tacopina would have learned this lesson with Joran VanderSloot.

Just jumping on . . . I don't know much about this case except what was originally reported when this child went missing. Watching the Dr. Phil show and HLN on commercial time. As I heard baby Lisa's Mom explain what happened that evening, I heard a lot of focus on how this has impacted "her". I was relieved to hear some focus on finding baby Lisa. I cannot imagine what it would be like to encounter MSM @ my front door and police hanging on every word I said . . . however, I knew that the anger she displayed toward "what was being said on line" wasn't directed at this site. Unless, she disagrees with what has been reported by MSM, the rumors aren't tolerated here. Certainly, many of us speculate what might have happened but it doesn't mean we want to attack the parents . . . we just want to secure a healthy and happy child.

I'm not ready to hang this couple! I have to give them the benefit of the doubt until we know for sure. I just think it's really odd several people saw Men (plural) holding a baby in a diaper at that time of night. Like NG said there are no coincidences! DB is not a Rocket Scientist and maybe has a low IQ and just can't explain things correctly. I've heard more than once from Professionals including NG's friend (can't think of his name) that if you take a Poly when you are really upset it will not turn out right. It can make you look quilty. I think having your child kidnapped is probably as stressful as it gets. Why does everyone keep referring to a white blob? It's a person but the video is blurry! Does everyone think it's "bigfoot" or maybe the ghost from "ghostbusters"? I think it's odd someone was on foot that night wondering around with a baby. I know I'm going to get beat up for this post, but I've never been one to not speak my mind. JMO

Thompson, here, says the baby had a t-shirt on. 1:24

Don't forget, Thompson pointed out in a group of pictures, who the man HE saw was. The man he identified is known to police, and he lives in the Irwin's neighborhood. I've not heard of any arrests....so.... one witness and a blur in a video - we don't even know if it's male or female.

Lisa's description matches neither of these witnesses.

Just saw Pat Brown and a psychologist talking to Vinnie on HLN about the interview. They're not buying it. They agreed, staged and rehearsed. Lots of self serving defensive statements, but nothing much about Lisa. All MOO.

  • #336
Nope. Still here. :fence:

Looks like they're in for the long haul. Nobody fell. Where do you go if you don't fall off the fence? Do you guys get beer and stuff delivered up there?

  • #337
I have to say...bull. You know they talked about it. It's statements like that that is going to hang them. IMO.

Ya, why even make that kind of comment on a nationally televised show. :waitasec:

  • #338
Wait what? Why hasn't she sought therapy for herself and her boys before now? Why wait until baby Lisa comes home?

How do we suppose this 5'7" intruder lifted himself up? The window faces the street - would it be more suspicious to see someone fighting their way into a window, or simply walking through a front door??

Not to mention, walking out of the house and around the neighborhood with a naked baby. IMO, whomever took Lisa had an extremely easy time pulling it off. Either someone very brave, or someone who knew she was drunk and passed out.

HLN is so biased. Then they wonder why the parents don't go on their show. Too funny.

Pat Brown should be packing her bags. She's leaving for Portugal soon for her search for the truth about Madeleine McCann.
