As strange as that may seem, yes, many seem to believe that. A drunk, not very smart (as some commenters have stated), possibly on drugs (as some others have yet stated) DB, accidentally ( or on purpose) kills her child. Then, even though the baby's father is expected at practicaly any minute, she is then able to hide the child's body so well (with no vehicle) and clean up the scene so immaculately that not even trained investigators can find any evidence of the crime or locate the child's body.
Possible? Yes. Probable? Not in my opinion.

Don't forget with 2 other children in the home who may or may not have been asleep. Risking one or both children waking, going out to look for her. Makes no sense.

So what have we got? Exaggerations, Misunderstandings, Media and Blog gossip, and slightly iffy handling by LE. Still no proof of any involvement by Debbie or Jeremy. And after what has been done to those two, I wouldn't be keen on talking to anyone either if I were them.
The best that can be hoped for now is keeping Lisa out there Nationally because it is highly unlikely that Lisa is anywhere local.
And I perfectly understand why Debbie is defensive because she knows that someone will twist everything she says.

Yup that's about it. Sadly, Lisa is still missing. Look at how her "grieving" statement was perceived in the media and by bloggers. They replayed it again on HLN (Vinnie's show) yesterday even though it had nothing to do with the Dr. Phil show. It's quite fascinating to see how they can use one statement and twist it to make it look like she knows Lisa is dead.

When one grieves it doesn't necessarily mean a death. I've seen people grieve over a missing pet.

I was only able to watch the first 5-10 minutes of the show. Did Dr. Phil ever ask her why she and JI are not out there searching for their missing daughter? And if so, what was the response?

TIA!

Even Debbie's statement about "Exaggerations" has been exaggerated, and that is going some.

And I got myself in a right old state when my youngest son went to America for six months. I had to keep on reminding myself that he wasn't dead, just on a visit. I would call that grieving of a kind. I felt as though I had lost my baby.

I'm of the opinion that DB took the baby out the back garage door NOT the front door. The back garage door is secluded and yesterdays interview gave us a little nugget into the defense teams mind right now. The garage door that was EASY to get up with just a pinky he says.

There was a reason that JT inserted that little nugget of information yesterday.

What substance abuse? ( Hey Sherbie!:seeya: I knew it wouldn't take long!)

The dog people say 'yes' that any well trained dog should hit on it.

The "getting drunk while the sole caregiver of three children" substance abuse. IMO.

This is o/t I'm sorry, but I'm searching for the MK Effexor video, and I stumbled upon this. I can't believe I haven't seen it before. It's a phone interview with JI from Oct6th on FOX.

http://foxnewsinsider.com/2011/10/0...irwin-speaks-out-pleads-for-daughters-return/

In that interview JI says that Debbie put Lisa to bed about seven pm., her normal bedtime. In the Dr. Phil show she said that the normal bedtime for all of the children was eight pm..

I don't think it is an exaggeration when a fact is stated and expounded upon by a witness and never retracted by that witness.

JI "Most of the lights in the house were on which is really weird."

Just an observation but I think DB was the one who took care of the children. JI comes across as someone who left all the childcare and housekeeping to DB and I wonder if he even knows what time the kids "normally" go to bed. He probably worked long hours, different shifts, etc. Did he even know Lisa was sick?

It is much more likely that The Abductor went in that way, and up the stair to the computer room. I have long suspected this. The house is easy to navigate from that room, and it is also somewhere to hide while listening for any noises.

Here is the problem with your idea. It does not clear up the inconsistencies of his and hers statements. The only thing that might do that is their own words and they refuse to even try that.

Look at the simple fact that Deb said she last saw the baby at 10:30. She then changed that statement to she can't remember if she saw her or not at 10:30 with no explanation of why that changed. She just left it for everyone to try and figure out.

"At 7 or so". I doubt that any parent works precisely by the clock.

I have to disagree with you on that. I think most parents have a very set bedtime for kids by the clock.

At 7 or so just happened to fit in nicely with 6:40 don't ya think?

Here is a guy that usually works days and there is no reason to believe he would not know the normal bedtime for his child and he says it is 7:00

JI "Deborah put lisa to bed at 7 or so her normal bedtime".

http://foxnewsinsider.com/2011/10/0...irwin-speaks-out-pleads-for-daughters-return/

Now Deb tells Phill the kids normal bedtime is 8:00.

Maybe the notion of a normal bedtime was a bit of an exaggeration too. . It sounded like the older kids were up until 10.30 pm. on a school night since they went to bed with her. If it was a late bedtime because she had been drinking, well, she said she drinks two or three times per week.

But what about in one of these scenarios - would the dog necessarily hit?

  • Baby deceased, wrapped in multiple layers of plastic, put inside sealed containers, transported within mins of death.
  • Baby wrapped up as above, thought to be dead, but still just barely alive.
  • Baby not wrapped up in anything, perfectly fine when transported, handed off alive to another person.
Not saying ANY of these might be the case, just that there are conceivable scenarios - no matter who transported the baby or in which vehicle - that a dog hit might not necessarily be a given.

My understanding is that cadaver dogs hit on the skin cells that fall off a dead body and, possibly, gases emitted from a dead body. The timeframe for when these cells shed is up for debate as is the exact way a cadaver dog hits upon a "scent". I'm sure there are ways of wrapping a body that would prevent any cells from shedding and being left behind for a cadaver dog to hit upon. And, if the person was not deceased at the time of transport, then there would be no gases emitted.

Deb told everyone even the babies father that she last saw Lisa at 10:30.

Then it came out she had purchased wine that night and sat out on the steps with the neighbor and drank 5 to 10 glasses of it.

She states she was drunk.

Then the timeline changed and she said she could not remember seeing the baby at 10:30.

Why she changed that statement has never been explained by her. Why not?

Now we learn her definition for being drunk is 2 drinks in an hour.

No, not really. Lisa wasn't all that well so was probably sleeping more. And I very much doubt that my husband knew at precisely what time I put the children to bed.
