"It’s been 15 years since Debra Himmelman’s body was found approximately 600 metres from her Montague home near the Kelly Jordan Road railway crossing.

Himmelman, a 49-year-old mother of four, disappeared from her home on the evening of Saturday, June 5, 2004.

An exhaustive search of the area around the family’s property was undertaken by family, volunteers and the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) over a number of days before her body was finally found lying face down in the brush off a rail bed in the early afternoon of June 8, 2004...

The night of Himmelman’s disappearance, she reportedly left the family farm in a pickup truck to grab dinner. She was last seen at Burger King on Beckwith Street in Smiths Falls between 5:30 to 6 p.m., according to reports at the time.

At approximately 8:30 p.m. that night, the pickup Himmelman had been driving was seen at her home — but there was no sign of her. Himmelman's body was found three days later."
