So sad! And yet another case where the “parents” should never have been allowed to have another baby left in their care!

From the link:

Numerous nurses said that the home was dark and damp. Pictures show a mess, unorganized, clothing and dishes in piles.

The mother, Salena, was “unmotivated” to de-clutter the home.

They would later refuse to return to the residence because of how bad it was and on Feb. 22 of 2021, a report says Travis was found unresponsive by his parents.”

Am I interpreting this correctly that conditions were so bad that nurses refused to return to the residence? And if so, why was there no intervention to check on the welfare of this innocent baby?! Ugh. So preventable. Sickening.

That's what I'm getting from it I suspect there was drug use at the time as well. The nurses were mandatory reporters and should have contacted DFCS. Seems like DFCS only got involved after the fact. The area they live in is well known for drug use, along with beloved residents who are working hard to "turn back the block". The local DA is under fire for letting suspected criminals bond out who have later went on to kill others, including gang members later charged with killing an 8 year old in a drive by shooting. So many of these cases are preventable.

From August 15, 2023 - Bond was denied.

The potential SIDS finding is interesting. Either way, these two are neglectful parents. Maybe a court date is coming up soon. They both have the same recent dates on case management search.

Hmmm... I can hear the tread of the law heading for this couple -- They got away with it once, but looks like it won't work this time, and by golly, the death of their first child is getting another look. Tromp, tromp, tromp.
So, so sad for those sweet, innocent babies -- they never had
a chance.
Now they are free. Fly high, Little Ones.
