Ok so now there is a probable cat and a rabbit..

I really wonder what they are doing with them.. it doesn't look like the rabbit has been touched.. and the cat thing looks mostly eaten.. or maybe it was roadkill he picked up.......

I have been watching this cam and just found this thread. Hooray! I think my co-workers are getting bugged at me giving them updates every 5 minutes :innocent:

I love how the eagle is bringing in all the sticks and such, as to snuggle up with them and create more of a seal around the eggs :) My boys have named her Ellie the Eagle. And the one that brings gifts they named Ely.

Maybe they are saving them for the babies...

That's what I think. That's what baby raptors eat... meat... :(

I do record it when they start moving around but I think I missed the mate bringing the 'gift'. I just saw two eye-looking things and then went back to cleaning up the kitchen... Were there any close-ups?

It will go bad though i think because it's above freezing here... maybe that high up though with the wind.. it's colder..

We have a baby? er.......or a scalp? lol. I saw the word "gift" and got excited........

BOO HOOO :(
probably only 1 baby MAYBE 2 will survive baby hood bums me out :(

Then that surviving one(s) may not even live

Approximately 40% of young eagles do not survive their first flight.

I just read that too!! It's so sad! I had no idea the rate of nonsurvival was so high! (I don't know if nonsurvival is a word)

from the info link

One way to determine the sex of an eagle is to examine its beak. Females have deeper (distance from top to chin) beaks than males.

We're thinking maybe it was a cat. But I saw her moving it around and it just looked like a ball of fur to me.

It's times like these that I'm so grateful to have two monitors at work. :D

Yep. But I have the eagle on one, with my work work, and the link to Casey's trial on the other one and WS on 3 windows all minimized to fit around them. LOL :great:
