Defense finds something new in old evidence?

Just have to say that WSers have the best sense of humor. Thanks to all for the continuous laughs, chuckles, and snickers in this thread. Here's hoping tomorrow's hearing brings us more of the same! :Banane35: Cheers!!

Their demeanor tells me they don't like
what they have seen the last few days, they
are very edgy. If they saw evidence that was
in their favor, they would have hugged Kathy B
and gave her an interview.

They are runnin scared IMHO:treadmill:

Wonder if we will have to listen to JB take up JP time again tomorrow about additional funds for "his questionable finds" during his evidence exam. I hope JP slaps him hard for not sticking to the motions on hand today. JB thinks he can sneak in his crap without filing the proper motions. No matter what the defense still needs to deal with the 31 days Caylee was not reported missing, and CA's 911 call. JB isn't going to find that it an evidence bag that's for sure.

The defense is going to ask for more money for testing:

snipped:

Casey’s lawyers want a new round of testing at taxpayer expense. Defense attorney Jose Baez claims his experts have made some discoveries over the last two days and he will to ask Chief Judge Belvin Perry to allow defense testing of the items in question.

Defense testing of evidence is not unusual, but in this case, the taxpayers would pay for it.

I seriously hope that Judge Perry does not allow this, look at what happened in the Spector case. I mean for real this could be bad if the defense messes up the evidense or loses it, UGGG

ITA! I think it will be partially allowed if it even commences. I hope the defense would not be allowed to use a sample of anything or do any destructive/degenerating type testing.

KC to JB: Does it still smell like Caylee?

a snip...my thoughts in blue.

“How many tests would you say that you are going to ask for based on what you've seen so far?” WFTV reporter Kathi Belich asked Baez.

“I don't know. I'm not the experts. They tell me what they think, we take it from there and I make the decisions,” he replied.

Really JB???? YOU make the decisions? I thought KC made the decisions. YOU work FOR her. Just ask George...SHE is the boss. WOW his coment is a bit telling eh??

“Are you going to ask taxpayers to pay for their transportation?” Belich asked.

“You and your taxpayer nonsense,” Jose Baez replied.

But it won't be nonsense when he ASKS for more money from the JAC. Perhaps their denial should include "taxpayer nonsense".

Perhaps KB should let JAC in on that "taxpayer nonsense"--I also would be very curious to see HHJP view on it as well...He takes the "taxpayer nonsense" extrememly seriously....perhaps jb view of it now shows why she is indigent....and why he doesn't want anyone to see where the money went?????:waitasec:

I thought this WAS his first time looking at the evidence? I know they all went down to the Suburban Drive site, but when has he seen the evidence before, or am I confused? :innocent:

They have seen some of the evidence way back ---- but then they started running around in circles over nonsense--and now they are back....It still surprises me that it has taken them this long to come and look......I would have thought they would have been there ions ago...but then what do I know?:banghead:

I've only read the first page of this thread so far but have to comment. You guys are so funny. :floorlaugh: You really have JB pegged. :woohoo:

And the comment about Dr. Lee saying, "Uh oh, car still stink" had me ROTFL. :floorlaugh: I guess they were hoping after all this time the car would finally smell like pizza.

An interesting aside.......in the short video in the above link......it is reported and shown in the video, Tim Huntington taking a picture of the media covering the inspection visit. Maybe he wanted it for his Facebook account???

Perhaps they are going to use it when they go whine to HHJP about all the media present and they weren't able to do anything because of them....Perhaps they feared on of the reporters has Superman abilities (dressed of course in Clark Kent apparel)--and could see inside walls??????:waitasec:

Just one more thought on this...Wouldn't HHJP make the decision as to whether or not something would be tested??????????

I'm not worried, even if Baez did fine some "new" evidence...it might just help the state...JMHO

Remember this!

Three months later, there is more talk about hair strands found by defense expert Dr. Henry Lee.
Dr. Lee had Orange County crime scene technicians remove the hairs that he found in Casey Anthony’s trunk.

The FBI notes that these hairs were found in what entomologist call "death wax” or “grave wax," or fatty tissue in a decomposing body. The technical term is adipocere: a wax-like organic substance formed by the anaerobic bacterial hydrolysis of fat in tissue, such as body fat in corpses. In its formation, putrefaction is replaced by a permanent firm cast of fatty tissues, internal organs and the face.

This, IMO, helps the prosecution. Yes, Dr. Lee found some hairs (not 17 hairs as Baez spouted!") I also remember him saying, probably on the NG show, Sometimes he finds evidence that helps the defense and sometimes he finds evidence that helps the state. So...if whatever was found, it could make the states case...wouldn't that be great?

Justice for Caylee

Theoretically this is ALL new evidence to them, after 2 years they are just looking at it with experts that aren't even listed on the defense witness list!

They can't list the experts until they know what they are going to say. If they did, the pros. could call them.
I wish this was going to trial already. Seems to be taking forever.

I would think the judge would have to allow defense testing. If he doesn't, it will be appeal city.

What they probably found that was new, was a spec of dust from the evidence sitting for two years before the defense got around to viewing it.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

thats what annoys me about this---NOW THEY LOOK & SEE?????? They have had most of the "team" assembled for so long....perhaps they should have been concentrating on the ACUTAL EVIDENCE instead of what they could make up or find...half the time in interviews jb states that they don't know what they are looking for....PLEASE!!!! :banghead: We know they are looking for SODDI--but the evidence proves otherwise....

Still want to see the magical evidece he has held onto for all these years that will free ICA.....:furious:

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Based upon comments made by the defense today.....we know that while they provided a rather large list of items they wished to have available for inspection.........there were FAR fewer that were actually examined.

One has to wonder......did the defense "inflate" the list for the purpose of clouding their motive or did the experts simply not need to look at more than they did?

I wonder if.............extra items were added to the list because their "motive" would have been clear based upon the smaller list. Almost as if there was a plan.

I found JB's comment and further "discussion" about the botanist especially interesting. Claiming he would have to move half his lab to inspect. Has this man not ever done this outside his own lab before?????

Perhaps JB was making an "issue" of HIM alone to facilitate suspicion about botany being their premise instead of their real intent.

I enjoyed Jeff Ashton's comments about LDB not being JB's secretary and making sure that his honor knew the list was a collaborative effort and not work product.
