On July 9, 1984, Denise Marie Pierson’s remains were found in the vicinity of the railroad tracks located at 7[SUP]th[/SUP] and Market Streets, Marcus Hook, Delaware County. It is believed Denise Marie Pierson was transported to this location after she was murdered. Denise Pierson was 18 years old when she was murdered. Denise last resided on White Avenue, Linwood, PA.

''Wayne Anthony Walker, 58, was charged Thursday with multiple counts of murder, kidnapping and conspiracy. It was unclear from court records if Walker, who was being held at the county jail on unrelated assault charges, had an attorney.
''Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer and State Police investigators also announced that Peter Horne, who died in 2013 while incarcerated on unrelated stalking charges, was a co-conspirator in the young woman's death. Investigators said two other individuals are still under investigation for their potential role and offered a $5,000 reward for information leading to additional arrests.''

MARCUS HOOK, Pa. (CBS) — The murder of an 18-year-old Delaware County woman captured headlines in the early 1980s, but the case had gone cold — until now.

Denise Pierson never came home the night of April 14, 1981.

The 18-year-old teen from Marcus Hook was last seen with a group of guys. Family, including Pierson’s mother, became deeply worried.
