The Guardian, on technical details:

During his questioning in court, Madsen said a technical fault had led to exhaust gases being pumped into the submarine’s “mess”, poisoning Wall while he was trapped outside, the negative pressure preventing him from opening the hatch.

“I tried to shout to Kim that she should try to turn off the engines,” he said. “I do not know if Kim succeeded, but the engines stopped.”

That released the pressure, allowing him to open the hatch, he said, whereupon he found her lifeless body.

Buch-Jepsen thoroughly discounted Madsen’s story during his morning overview, when he said such an accident would have led to rapid heating, for which there was no evidence. A technical report will be presented later in the trial.

Dorthe Damgaard has been interviewed by the Danish press earlier. She's said some things about him wanting to take her on the submarine. Either she's not been truthful, or she's told the press things the police and court did not want to come out before trial. There's also a chance that the person not testifying is someone else, but I think it would be her.

I think that Deirdre said that PM had bragged to her about Barcelona, business class tickets, so on.

I am actually a bit confused as to which woman will not testify, but I can´t make it fit that it is Deirdre.
There is photographic evidence she knew PM for years.

I think the reaction to the horrendous murder has been strange among some Danes.

That said, the police and others involved in the case have done a stellar job.

I quite agree this supplies a lot more detail but in several crucial places, as usual Google doesn't translate well. It probably doesn't matter for someone who's already well informed but could completely confuse someone new to the case. eg. near the top they list 8 main points. No 1 is:

Peter Madsen naegter sig fortsat skyldig i drabet på Kim Wall, men erkender pertingeren.

This Google translates as:

Peter Madsen continues to be guilty of killing Kim Wall but acknowledges the misery.

This makes sense but is quite wrong. I think it should be:
Peter Madsen continues to deny that he is guilty of the killing of Kim Wall but admits the dismembering.

I hope a Danish speaker will correct or confirm that.

Very strange translation. I would never have read that as haircut. Not that I know Danish, but some of their words are surprisingly normal. ( :whiteflag:~~ friendly wave to Denmark)

Hals = neck or throat.

Oh, I see - but they didn't offer an English version themselves so, as you say, there's no editor. This is just what you get when you click 'translate into English'...I thought it worth mentioning since there are bound to be people less familiar with the case coming here who did not see earlier discussions, and I still think Google mistranslations of key words make the Danish reports quite hard to follow at times.

There was an article the other day where a psychiatrist compared Peter Madsen with Peter Lundin (he killed his mom in USA and then came to denmark and killed his ex-girlfriend and her 2 little kids, and then dismembered them and threw them in the garbage) and Anders Breivik (the guy from Norway that went to an island and killed 80 young people, or more)

I think people here cant handle all the details. There was again this week in the danish program "Presselogen" critique about how much the news-media revealed of the trial and all the details. I personally find it hard to cope with the details.
