After reading the latest Mr Burner depo. Where he retrieved the shovel from his shed.

Since we know Casey couldn't get access to George's shed gas, or Cindy's bank account, is it possible ICA didn't want the shovel at all, but simply a look-see inside His shed for GAS? It seemed quite silly to dump your murdered daughter right around the corner from her house. Did Casey not have enough gas to drive around finding the perfect hiding spot grave? Did Mr Burner 'thwart' her gas stealing idea by locking his shed after fetching his shovel?

She didn't look sweaty or dirty from using a shovel. The shovel looked in almost mint condition from when he loaned it.

I always thought she tried to use the shovel to break the lock on GA's shed, but couldn't. I don't think it had anything to do with digging a hole. But at times I have to wonder if she tried to put Caylee in the A's backyard to frame them in someway but couldn't do it.

How does the timing coincide with BB's interview about borrowing the shovel to 'dig up bamboo root' with the Anthony's stating that is why she borrowed the shovel?

Someone did try to dig a hole near the house but hit part of the foundation and stopped digging. The A's said there was a bush there and they moved it but the hole was not very deep and there was a piece of foundation at the bottom of the hole so was there really a bush there?

Had KC been successful her story would have been, "Oh, Caylee's with my parents." By the time CA caught up with KC, her story would have been set in stone. "But, Mom, I left her with Dad. You're the one who said you wanted custody." In the end, if LE believed KC, KC would have gotten the house. jmo

I can't tell if he's offering this as an excuse or using as a rouge to put people at ease right before he rips into them. I think they could make an hour long documentary just using sound bites of him saying that.

It's his standard "icebreaking" line to put a deposition subject at ease. It makes it seem like he is the one confused about what has been said before, and makes the witness forget that the lawyer is watching him like a hawk for any discrepancies in his story.

Maybe he can't remember that he keeps saying the same thing over and over. Or it's he knows what he's saying and it comparable to "Come into my parlor said the spider to the fly." Put them at ease and then strike. jmo

She knew she was going to have to do something, so she put her in garbage bags and then the canvas laundry bag. If the defense has any idea of trying to make this out to be an accident, they are really going to have to work hard for it. She made a 'conscious' effort to cover up whatever happened and then went so far as to make it 'appear' as though someone kidnapped Caylee. It shows she was thinking about the consequences of what she did, at least for a little while anyway Nobody makes an accident appear like a murder, it's just common sense that it would only make matters worse.

For me it clearly shows her priorities at the time. Didn't want her daughter dying to interrupt her date with Tony that night. Boo, hoo! She would have to stay home and play the grieving mother. I believe you hit the nail on the head because it also sounds just like what Casey would do in that situation from what we know of her. The digging and burying was too hard and time consuming so she threw her in the trunk and thought she could think of something better later. There is no way, no how in this life that I will ever believe that any loving mother could react and go about her daily life in the manner that Casey did if their child has just died of an accident. Quite the contrary, Casey seemed to be rather perky and her usual self according to witnesses, video, etc. I realize different people act in different ways but not like this no. I won't even consider it imo.

ETA: You mark my words, Casey will be convicted for most of the same reasons Scott Peterson was. The DT has a better chance of disputing the forensics than explaining Casey herself.

I think she tried to or thought of burying her somewhere, but I don't think she'd do it in her parents' own back lawn. Maybe if the A's weren't very mobile or active, but it appears they worked in and/or used the back lawn quite a bit, as evidenced by the pavers, patio areas, pool, etc. I just have a hard time believing anyone, even ICA, wouldn't consider that the dogs would dig or her parents might plant something and discover her secret.

I could believe that she drove by the dump site, saw that it was flooded (if it was at that time, I can't recall) and then changed her mind about burying Caylee and returned the shovel for some odd reason.


I also find it amusing how the media is now making a big deal of the neighbor's comments about how he doesn't believe the A's are being forthright. I thought it was interesting that his response to why he thought that was because he based it on what he saw in the media.

Not saying I disagree with him, because I don't. But, just another example of the media spinning things for a headline. If they had actual info that can be proven, then THAT would be a headline! Getting tired of the media scrounging through old info and digging up bits and pieces to sensationalize. JMHO.
