Desiree was last seen on August 15, 1996. She told her family she planned to move to Las Vegas, Nevada with Miguel Angel Pieri. He was 46 years old at the time. Desiree stated that they were only friends, and she planned to stay in Las Vegas for only a short time before moving to California.
Desiree's family did not want her to go, but she left with Pieri anyway. She told her family that she would call as soon as she arrived in Las Vegas, but she never called. Piere has also not been located.
