Detectives say Caylee is dead - discuss

Perhaps at this point the Anthony's do know the truth-maybe even the whole truth. And they are unwilling to set Casey up for a death penalty case. They have lost one loved one-I suspect they will not be willing to lose another one for whatever reason.

But I wouldn't be inside those walls for all the money in the world.

I happen to agree with you entirely. I believe that the family knows that Caylee is dead. This business about kidnappers and Mexico is a total act on the family's part. They themselves don't really believe what they say.

I think Turbo means "sacrifice" in the sense that they would rather let Caylee's body stay out there somewhere than bring her home to save Casey. It is a sacrifice.

They are more than willing to forgo giving Caylee a decent funeral and burial to try and keep Casey from being charged with murder. They have done whatever they can do to actually prevent this child from being found. What a rotten thing to do to a child you were supposed to love and protect!

I agree and will go a step further. I think the family helped plan this "act". It is my opinion they have known all along what happened to Caylee.

I have a feeling they are going to turn on her soon.

As important as Caylee appeared to be, to BOTH George and Cindy, I do not see Cindy forgiving Casey, after she learns,....... and accepts the truth about CAYLEE.

I have an 11 year old Granddaughter. IF my son hurt her, I would disown him and probablly turn my back on him.

I am curious...to know ?
Do you suppose anyone has had a heart to heart with
George and Cindy, stressing the importance of a peaceful,
final resting place for Caylee. They are so preoccupied and upset, perhaps they are not considering that.

They have the prayer vigils, but on the YouTube upload, all I hear is a hell fire and brim stone person, praying for Caylee's safe return. Has anyone spoken up and stated that she is dead ?? Caylee is not Lazarus, nor Liz Smart. This is a for REAL done deal. Caylee is with the angels and God.

Casey it is time to show your cards and tell.
I showed my dead pet more respect than you are showing your own flesh and blood !

"In your heart, do you believe (Caylee) is gone -- she is dead?" Local 6's Mike Holfeld said.

"Well, my dad-instinct says you never want to give up," Beary said. "But the way the evidence is looking, that's probably what's going to be down the road."

"She's gone?" Holfeld said.

"She's gone," Beary said. "Every day that passes, everything in your gut instinct tells you we're not going to find that child -- at least not alive."

Ever since the ORIGINAL OJ TRIAL, every time I hear a barking dog, something out of the ordinary in my neighborhood, see something out of the ordinary driving etc., I do make notes. I still remember in the trial nobody remembering the EXACT time the dogs were barking. Strange how certain things stick out even after all this time.

Oh wow, I do exactly the same thing! I check the clock, take a look out the windows and see what's what. I have neighbors with dogs on either side of me and they only bark if something's up. Yep, ever since the first OJ trial years ago.

"You know, we know that something's wrong," Beary said. "We know something happened and that's why we are still building the evidential case for the future."

Bear said the evidence could play a criminal court showdown with Casey Anthony, Holfeld reported.

"Well, Florida has laws on the books like that," Beary said. "I think before anybody does anything, the state attorney, the sheriff's office, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the FBI will make sure that if that is the scenario, we will have all our ducks in a row for a good solid case."

The sheriff also said that he is hopeful that the case will come to a close before he leaves office in less than three months.

I agree, I'm about to become a grandmother and I know if my daughter did something to my grandchild(it's a boy) I'd never be able to look at her face again. It would disgust me. I know myself.

Thanks for posting that.

I, like everyone else am waiting for the day she is charged. I know we all want it to happen NOW. In reality however it is a good thing they are taking their time to build the case solid. I firmly believe that the DA prosecuting O.J. to soon is what helped him walk. If they would have taken the time to build a solid case they might have got the conviction they were looking for.
The cops working this case want to see her pay for what she did, as we all do and I am sure they will work as hard as they can to make sure that happens.

They might "know" that Caylee is gone, but in their hearts it might be hard for them to accept it. They hold on to every scrap of hope that she is alive. I don't believe for one minute that they are involved in what happend to Caylee, nor did they help dispose of her.
I'm angry that they dissed Tim M., yes... but I think Cindy and George were disappointed when they learned that Tim and his crew were searching for a dead body... Cindy thought they were coming to look for a live Caylee, and when she found out where they were searching, it hit her hard.

I agree. There is no way GA and CA would have harmed Caylee, but I'm not sure the original poster meant it that way. I also don't think they would have helped dispose of the body.

I don't think Cindy, George, and/or Lee had anything to do with what happened to Caylee. When you say "they have known all along what happened", do you mean all the way back to June 16th or 17th? If so, how do you explain the point behind all the 'drama' in July?

My debate against your point is Caylee was not yet in school, plus the Anthony family does not seem to have close ties with very many other family members, so there wouldn't have been a lot of 'outsiders' looking into her whereabouts at this time. They could have so easily had Casey say Caylee was with family, family could have said Caylee was with Casey, and I don't see anyone looking further into it. Or they could have said after a long time of heartwrenching soul searching, it was decided to adopt Caylee out to a family 1000 miles away. Again, who is going to look into this further? Either way, no LE involvement.

Respectfully,
Lanie

I always look at my watch when I hear something that I think it 'not quite right' - I also make a note of things out of the ordinary in my neighborhood. But my husband was in LE forever and I am the granddaugther of a Detective, so it is just in my blood.

I wonder how much of this case could have been uncovered sooner if more people 'paid attention'?

I know what you mean. I feel like Gladys in the tv show "Bewitched" the nosy neighbor. I pay attention, but the other side of that is my neighbors do too.

LP had a female body guard in the house with Casey at all times. We know from TonE that Casey was having night sweats and nightmares in early July. I have often wondered if these contained once she was released from jail and back home. Could it be she also was talking in her sleep , which many people do during nightmares? Could it be that the female body guard heard some interesting info in the sleep talking of Casey?

Although I've believed Caylee is gone for awhile it still hurts to read it. I also thought I couldn't get more disgusted or angry but somehow I do.

I also think that case became a blueprint for what NOT to do in a case like that. I think just about every LE agency in the US changed the way they did things afterwards. No one wanted a repeat of the mistakes that were made in that case, by LE, by the forensics people, etc.

If nothing else, the first O.J. case led to more convictions down the road, just from the changes in procedures that were put in place.

I am 100% positive that OCSO is putting together a meticulously prepared and iron clad case against Casey for the death of Caylee. We may have to wait a while, but it will happen.

It goes back to the 911 calls, imo. CA called because she was enraged about the money and the car not because Caylee was missing. If she had not made those calls, they could have spun this for years with exactly what you are saying. No one would have noticed, but CA's anger got the best of her and with her famous line, "I found my daughter's car today and it smells like there's been a dead body in the damn car!"...you will never make me believe they did not know. LA knew. GA knew. And CA knew. The cover-up began before LE arrived with cleaning the car out, washing her clothes, etc.

They can take all the time they need as long as the end result is the same.

CASEY BEHIND BARS!!

CA dissing Tim is only one out of many, many things they have done that points to them covering what happened. If it were only that one thing, maybe I could see my way to find sympathy for this family, but every time more information comes out...it points to their complete awareness of the situation from the beginning.
