That article is Aug 10. The press conference was Aug 11.

I was just offering my opinion, ThoughtFox. I'm always aware I could well be wrong.

BBM. I'm talking about the Aug 11 press conference. They very carefully and specifically said the Horman truck, on the access road.

For the southside parking lot, they said they were looking for parents who'd parked in that lot.

ETA: As an aside, Staton has said they've ruled out people.

I see your point, but I was responding to your assertion that they ruled out DeDe driving a white truck, which I don't believe is true, else they wouldn't have put her face on the flier with the Horman truck. :twocents:

ETA: Even if they didn't mention DD, they handed out her picture - pretty strong statement that she is involved instead of being ruled out.

Oh I think you misunderstood, ThoughtFox. I didn't assert they ruled Dede out. The little cow icon I put, with the MOO, means My Own Opinion (MOO). And I began my post with "I think".

But LE didn't hand out Dede's picture at the Aug 11 press conference. They left Dede entirely out of it, and when asked about her, refused to even talk about her.

The flyer they handed out for the presser didn't have her picture. Here it is, from MCSO's website:

If they had handed out her picture on Aug 11, then I would not be noodling on whether she'd been ruled out.

I think Dede was ruled out Aug 9/10, due to LE and the DA having a perfect opportunity to gain info regarding her via the press conference on Aug 11, and not only their choice not to do so, but their firm refusal to even discuss her.

I respectfully disagree. Other than the photos and fliers that have been released(Terri, Horman truck, Dede in pics and fliers)by LE (which I'll add there was very little info or detail even given about those). LE has REFUSED to discuss, answer questions, or give info about any of the players involved in this case. So, I would not take LE staying mum on Dede as anything but LE "norm"as they've stayed consistently tight lipped throughout. Dede's not being discussed by LE at presser is exactly par for the course of this investigation. jmo

I do think it's interesting that Dede's brother has an almost identical truck to Kaine. In 09 she says it's brand new. Anyone know what year KH's truck is? I also found it interesting that Dede says it has everything except AC. And then she says she has to drive home with no AC. Maybe she has been known to borrow his truck.

I wonder if LE had these pictures early on and that is why they are asking at one point about "a" truck not the KH truck.

She says "no AC in the seats" which is one of the things lots of newer rigs have (but man, it cools the tushie more than I'm comfortable with!!). I believe her own vehicle has no AC in it.

The only way that I know of that we can ascertain whether or not DeDe borrowed her brother's white truck is to first find out if he still owns it, and then find out what contact he had with her, and whether or not he loaned his vehicles to her, and where he was that day, and if he loaned it to her, when and where did he hand it over to her, and at what time of the day.

Which,. of course, involves sleuthing him. And I believe that we aren't allowed to sleuth family members who haven't yet been named as involved, investigated by LE, or appearing before a GJ. I may, of course, be wrong, wrong, wrong.

So I put the picture from FB of a white truck allegedly owned by DeDe's brother in 2009 as gossip, rumor, and speculation. Until and unless I have reliable, acceptable links and evidence to present here. JMO.

So I'm thinking of this white truck as basically a red herring. (Did I really just say that??!!)

Funny thing is that I'm starting to realize how many white trucks there are. Last night I was in a drive-through line and voila! Right in front of me was a white truck that looked just like KH's. They seem to be everywhere.

I'd like to add that we don't know for certain this is DeDe's album or FB account, since it's locked up tight.

Also, if this IS her account and she DID borrow his truck that day, I'd think he would have given a statement to the police by now. Unless we plan on adding yet another person to the conspiracy theory.
