Just to say, I couldn't agree more!

My gut instinct has always been that it was John who most likely molested JonBenet, with Patsy being the type to stick by her man at any cost, even at the expense of her daughter's wellbeing. On top of that, John was the main bread winner, and she and her entire family basked in the reflected glory of his wealth and power.

For me, the big question I'm not sure about is: if John was JB's molester, did he also kill her? Or, did Patsy eventually snap and do it herself, with John standing by her because she knew too much about him? Or, to me less likely, but still can't ruled out, did Burke kill his sister, either because he was molesting her as well, or as a screwed up reaction to knowing she was being abused?

Personally, I just don't know, but I'm leaning towards John being responsible for everything. It's so fascinating to follow all of you thoughts and ideas!

My personal theory is that JR had been molesting her for a long time, possibly along with BR, JAR, & God knows who else. I think PR knew all about it, and that she grew up the same way. I'm not sure she really even knew how wrong it was. There are families where it happens generation after generation, and I think that was the case here.

I believe this Christmas night was to be the first time JR was going to have intercourse with her and PR just couldn't stand the thought of it. Not because she cared for JB, but due to jealousy. I think she swung that flashlight at JB and bashed her in the head intentionally. They couldn't very well call 911 and have the abuse discovered so JR strangled her.

If you remember, PR was very jealous & possessive of JR. "That blonde b1tch down the street." comment comes to mind. She'd had cancer, chemo, etc. and obviously wasn't able to be a wife to JR in "that" way. I've heard it said that people with personality disorders tend to attract each other, and I believe it's the case here. She was every bit as narcissistic as JR is. No other woman was going to "steal her man" away from her, even her own daughter.

This was the first thought I had back when this case hit the news. I've had 1000 theories since then, but always come back to this one. JMO

I always presumed his "clever little clues" comment was referring to the dictionary, the magazine with the heart, etc. You think he was referring to the staging?

ETA: Didn't see your transcript comment before posting. I see what you mean now. I do think he thought he was being really clever with the staging, but I don't believe for a second that he did the dictionary, the magazine, Bible etc. I really think that was FW knowing it was them, and wanting to direct LE where to look without actually coming out and saying it. He didn't want to be questioned as to why and how he knew. I don't know how or why he knew, other than the obvious, but I'm almost sure he did.

While I disagree with some of the things he said, I find it a very interesting document that ties together many of the aspects of the crime in a unique way. Even if the document is flawed, we can still learn things from it. One of the most interesting things I have seen so far is the idea that there was a photograph of the pages of the RN on the stairway found on the roll of film and that this photograph(s) was taken early, before Christmas day. I haven't had time to read all the comments about that, but can someone who has please confirm that this is in fact true or is it false.

It is chilling, because it does indicate premeditation ( which could tie in with the purchase of the cord and duct tape from the hardware shop in advance, too). The police thought the same and were extremely suspicious. They questioned both Patsy and John, but seem to have let the matter drop (as far as we know), when they couldn't prove it. So, it stands as extremely suspicious, I think, but unproven. (Unless anyone can correct me otherwise)! I agree, it casts a very different light on things, to being an accident.

Ok, I want to know everything I can find about this picture that was taken of the pages of the RN on the stairway before Christmas. I don't understand it yet but it is fascinating to think about what it could mean. If this is true then it would show the crime to be premeditated and that there was a conspiracy within the family to murder JB. I don't understand why at this point. This is very interesting.

Yes, that is what he said. It was telling in the interview with PR when this was pointed out to her that she said "OH GOD" when she saw it, because she knew it could not be explained away. Then she said "It is Nothing" afterwards, trying to dismiss it, but it was far from nothing. If this is true it is very significant IMO because it shows that the murder and cover-up afterwards was not this haphazard spontaneous chain of events that we have always assumed it to be but instead was planned and premeditated and practiced. And you know what is strange? When we look at everything we know about this case, this "planned and practiced" behavior seems to fit. I don't know if this is true or not but it is very fascinating to contemplate this.

Not meaning to be presumptuous, but I think you may have been referring to my post about JR "telling" on himself. If not, my apologies for answering for dazeerae.

I've only been able to stomach a few chapters of DOI, and haven't even opened TOSOS, although I have a good friend that's read them both and shared lots of info with me.

I find it very telling that JR kept pictures of Beth between his shower & tub, visible from both. That's just sick. He spends more time in DOI mourning Beth than he does JB. He "forgave" JB's killer almost instantly, and said he only wanted to "know why". Huh? :waitasec: In the CBN interview he asked "What if we were the killers?" That's just really bizarre. I see how he was trying to pull it off, but still a tell in my book. In TOSOS he describes how he went to India (I think) on a mission trip to work with young girls in the sex trade. Ok, :facepalm: Then there's the "underwear" thing, over & over again.

There's about 1000 more. Let me give it some thought and I'll post more. I'll probably have to make a list there's too many to remember.

Of all things to get involved with, young defenseless girls in foreign countries that are sold as sex slaves. That was the biggest tell for me. And the photo of his other dead daughter by bathtub???? I hope the truth comes out.

I just found out about this, and if true I consider it very big with profound implications for all other aspects of the murder and cover up.

He is an IT guy, printing the note would have lead to their computers.

I was surprised JR said the word "clever" so many times.....as Patty's note told John not to be so clever. Those two are a pair.
