He assaulted his wife and that is never justifiable.

The reason he did it was because his wife wouldn't stop singing, 'Ding Dong, the witch is dead' when his mother had just died.

He locked wife into the shed, but she broke out and got back into the house, and threw all his clothes out of the window. That's when the physical stuff started.

Husband is being prosecuted and says he was depressed. Maybe calling time on this marriage might be a good idea?

They both sound like a real piece of work but there was no excuse for the woman taunting him like she did. She sounds rather mean.

Yeah, it kind of says something when you feel the need to lock your partner in the shed.

Heck, Mr Z locks himself in the shed voluntarily, all the time......
