Well Charlene is now a case that we can eliminate as one of the ones that's most likely identified but not announced!

Agreed...Such a beautiful young lady!
RIP Jenifer! And sincere condolences to her family, especially her baby girl, and all those who loved her.

Someone should ask if it's Jenifer or Jennifer as most outlets are using Jennifer.

Oh yes and there are at least 5 Does with matches over 300 cM, I am waiting for the Nation River lady announcement, I am sure that she has been identified some time ago!

Interesting, that Jenifer was identified only after the Gedmatch changes, actually it happened less than two months ago! :

After exhausting all leads, the Newton County Indiana Coroner’s Office first reached out to the DNA Doe Project in late 2019. DNA extract was obtained from UNT Center for Human Identification. In March 2020, the DNA was sent to HudsonAlpha Discovery for whole genome sequencing. After data was obtained, bioinformatics work was performed by Kevin Lord of Saber Investigations in Belton, Texas, in May of 2020 to produce a file suitable for upload to genealogical databases. On May 7, 2020, the file was uploaded to GEDmatch. DDP was also given permission by the agency to upload the file to Family Tree DNA (FTDNA). This was completed on June 6, 2020. The top matches were distant cousins which represented both parents. The change in the Terms of Service at GEDmatch effective January 11, 2021, revealed a close relative match which led to the identification

I'm assuming it's a typo, but Plainview Jane Doe's highest match is now "8", but at the same time, it still says she has 13 matches higher than 40 cM. St Tammany Parish John Doe has also had a small jump to 38.8.
Plainview Jane Doe highest match is still 8 cM, very strange, she still has many matches over 40 cM
Also I am wondering if they will add China Black to the spreadsheet.

I'm convinced that Plainview's highest match is a typo.

Agree! I know Joan and the team are busy, but may be she will see it and check it when she has time.

Gregg County Jane Doe is now fully funded! That's quite a surprise as she had the lowest donations if I recall correctly.

Adept Cosmetics is listed as a donor, nice to see some corporate donors and sponsors as they become more successful.
Dyer Family Foundation funded like four of their cases.
Some girl who listens to Crime Junkie podcast is doing a fundraiser for them and she's gathered a lot of donations so far.

I saw that! It'll be nice for some of those cases to finally be fully funded.

I submitted several unknowns from Monroe County in the Florida Keys as frankly, they have limited resources available...

Marathon and Big Pine Key are small communities where nearly everyone knows one another, which makes me think that the following may have been tourists or transient in some respect (having lived in Marathon for a long time I am familiar with the island culture). I mean, even Jimmy Buffett wrote a song about this called 'Coconut Telegraph'- which just about sums up island life. My very first few minutes there and a friendly local said to me, "you don't look like a tourist, and I've never seen you around here - so who are you"? Back then it was like one big family, and the last time I was there a few years ago it still felt the same way.

Two of the 3 unknowns were young, and the other woman was living on a houseboat - that community in Key West is a pretty tight one, so I find it next to impossible that no one knew her.

When I lived there people had a saying: You're here because you're running from the law, or running from a broken heart. I was in LE there and on surveillance one night at around 1am with a detective whom I had not met before. He said to me, "I wanna know who I'm working with, so I looked you up - you're practically a candidate for sainthood; you're a good girl. So then I can assume you ran down here because of a broken heart"? Yep.

Best you can do is notify them and hopefully they'll get in contact, and I remember Cinnamon, I added her to the UID page for Florida on Wikipedia last year.

Thank you for sharing! Interestingly, the first Jane Doe was found floating in the ocean, as she was found fully dressed, I don’t think it can be an accidental drowning, so sad. Maybe if you still know the sheriff or a LE in Marathon and Big Pine Key you can contact them and refer DNA Doe Project to them, I think that the DDP has 3 cases from Florida (Julie Doe, Joanne English, and Alachua co John Doe), so they work with Florida LEs

  1. I tried to suggest the Hernando County Jane Does recently, and I want to suggest the Pembroke Pines John Doe soon too.

Good job! I hope they will take these cases. I have seen that Florida has a lot of cases, more than many other states.. I hope somebody will take Fort Myers 8 Does.

Mhm, the top states are California, Arizona and Florida, and all 3 seem to be active with the DDP and other companies.

I've managed to add images of the Healdsburg Jane Doe and Carson City Jane Doe to UID pages on Wikipedia, I wish I could add more but I'm unable to due to copyright restrictions.

Joining the DNA Doe Project

I think the video was shot a few month ago, but still. Margaret Press is the Co-Founder and CEO of the DNA Doe Project, a nonprofit organization that seeks to help law enforcement identify Jane and John Does all over the United States. Learn more about how you can be part of the process.
