They have a new case! This is their first international case as this Jane Doe is from Ontario, Canada.
She is listed as ''Nation River Lady'' on their pinned Facebook post.

Is there a WS thread?

Are you good at calling police departments, JovanSrna? I would be willing to call Cook County Sheriffs office but I’m a little bit shy
I don't live in the United States but I do have maternal cousins and a great aunt in Chicago.
I'm not in contact with them though.

Got ya. Okay, I think I’m going to do it then. The Gacy vics are my “pet case”.

Try to find an e-mail contact or contacts if you are phone shy.

''We have several potential cases from Canada, and a few inquiries from other countries as well. The pipeline is just very long.'' - Margaret's reply to a comment on the pinned Facebook post.

I find Isdal Woman (Norway) and Somerton Man (Australia) to be prospective cases because Colleen expressed interest in those and reached out to investigators. Markham Doe (Canada) is also a good bet because this case caught the eye of the couple behind the Trans Doe Task Force, a side project of two volunteers.

New cases and updates on the Google Drive spreadsheet!
Buena Vista Leg's top match is 12.3 cM, the lowest scoring top match for any of their Does.
Corona Girl's top match is 70.8 cM.
Harper Jane Doe now has a new top match, 93.7 cM.
Jonesport John Doe's top match is 84.9 cM. He has 192 close matches that are over 40 cM.
St Tammany Parish John Doe's top match is 21.5 cM.
Ventura County Jane Doe's top match is 44.1 cM.

Buena Vista Leg Doe! I just saw that she was added. Her matches are absolutely horrible. They'll need a surprise opt in for her to be identified.

I am happy about Corona Girl and Jonesport John Doe. They are on the path to being identified since they have good matches.

Ventura County and St Tammany Parish are going to need some better opt ins for sure.

So great to see the new cases! :)

A little OT maybe, I got my results uploaded to GEDmatch :yay: and opted in of course, but I’m not sure what else to do if anything! I want to make sure I submit them or upload them to any and every where I can!

Anyone have suggestions for the best place to find good details or instructions? TIA!

They use Family Tree DNA as well, so you can upload your results there too. Not sure if they have the OptIn/OptOut system.
Creating a family tree where possible also helps.

Thank you! I currently have one on Ancestry but if it helps to create one on different sites, I’ll do that! :)

ftDNA automatically opts you in if you choose to see matches. At least, that’s my understanding. Uploads are also free to MyHeritage. I’m not sure if LE uses their database or not.

Thank you!!

I didn’t do the testing so much for me or to learn of my own lineage (although it’s very interesting to know)... I did it with the sole intention of aiding in endeavors such as this. I guess uploading my results to the handful of sites is the most I can do... for now :)
