Jonespot John Doe and Kern county Jane Doe (2011) have similar admixture charts with one third of Eastern Mediterranean, which can be Jewish (Jonespot John Doe is listed in Doe network as possibly Jewish). I wonder if it can also be Greek, Cyprus, Turkey.

If I recall correctly, DDP made an announcement that the Kern County Doe was primarily of First Nations ancestry.

Thats a different Jane Doe, they have now 3 Jane Doe from Kern County. I referred to Kern County Jane Doe (2011), it is a relatively new case.

In the article it is mentioned that “DNA Doe Project has solved more than 40 cases since it began operating in 2017. Six of those cases are from Ohio”

That’s #27th announcements, so hopefully more are coming

I think there's an error on the spreadsheet. Van Buren John Doe 1987 is listed on the spreadsheet, despite the fact that he's still listed as "Sequencing" according to the DNA Doe Project. Meanwhile, the 2010 Doe is "Research in Progress" on both the site and facebook.
More interestingly, VBJD 1987 shares almost the exact admixture as the Portland John Doe, who's supposed to be Asian-American or Asian like the VBJD 2010.

Long story short, Van Buren County John Doe 2010 is mislabeled as Van Buren County John Doe 1987

Also interestingly Plainview Jane Doe is over 75% Sub-Saharan despite being described as caucasian. Buena Vista is also over half Sub-Saharan.

Kings County Doe is also about 35-40% Amerindian.

I did e-mail the volunteer about this... looks like she missed changing it.

May be both cases are in genealogical research now? We will know once Joan sees the message and reviews it

Yeah, I emailed Joan (the volunteer who handles the spreadsheet) about the Van Buren Co. Doe error days ago and she was very nice and glad that I pointed it out. I looked today and it's been fixed.

Thank you!
He has good matches, with the highest match 127,2. hopefully it will be a fast identification.

Has anyone here tried to refer an investigating agency to the DDP? I'm curious as to what successes people have had with that

So when DDP was just starting I emailed maybe 20 agencies and medical examiners. I basically said that I really cared about the case, explained what DDP did, would include a few media links about their successes and DDP's contact info. I really don't know what effect/if any it had on getting cases into DDP's hands although a few officers I emailed wrote back and were receptive. Law enforcement typically doesn't like to reveal much to random people though.

DDP has said that on occasion agencies do contact them and say that a civilian told them about DDP. So it definitely has worked out sometimes.

At this point I imagine that civilians (like us) have contacted agencies about most of the well-known Doe cases. Is there any Doe or agency you're thinking about in particular?

I tried to contact the IA investigating the Richmond Jane Doe from 1981 and they said they may be interested, but that was back in July. I just wasn't sure how long the paperwork may take or if its most likely they changed their minds.
