It'll be interesting to see if Jenny passes sequencing successfully, considering the DDP's difficulty with Mr. X and Alachua County John Doe, but their success with Joseph Loveless and the Hudson John Doe.

Hiya, my IUD case had a DNA sample taken in an attempt to identify her against the database, however this wasn't fruitful. But nothing else was gleaned about her (at least that I've found) like for example ethnicity, or other specifics and physical characteristics.
Anyone know how I'd go about getting this info?? Because surely they do have it, if it was run through database(s).

Also, not sure if this is the right place to ask about this but forensic facial reconstruction was recently suggested in my thread, which I think would be greatly beneficial. But there are no photos or scans publicly available that I've been able to find of my jane doe's head/skull (but there must be some somewhere in the coroners report or police archives etc), so I'm not sure how I'd go about getting a reconstruction.

Any advice or suggestions on either of these would be massively appreciated. Below is the link to my IUD's thread

I can't get to either Nation River Lady or Millie's NMCPUR pages, is the site having issues or is it possible both of them were identified?

I think the former, as the homepage/search page is not loading either.

I assumed so, due to Millie's low matches.

I do wonder though if Nation River Lady has been ID'ed, given her high matches. Canadian police are generally pretty tight lipped about these things though. I don't think we've had a UID identified via FGG here yet.

New DNA method might identify body found in Rock County

Investigators release new images of "John Clinton Doe"

New hope in search for identity of body found in 1995 in Rock County

John Clinton Doe's real name? Public could be told soon

Genetic genealogy organization says it has identified John Clinton Doe

DNA Doe Project Executive Director Margaret Press said on Wednesday it was waiting on the results of the sheriff’s office’s independent investigation.

Sheriff Troy Knudson said the process is continuing to move slowly.

“We do not have any updates at this time,” Knudson said. “I am hoping that we have an update within a month, however, it is largely in the hands of the medical examiner’s (office) at the moment.”

The sheriff’s office announced aspects of the early stages of potential identification “didn’t go as smoothly” as expected, a former investigator on the case said in a Beloit Daily News article from Aug. 8, 2019.

Yes and Plainview Jane Doe highest match is still 8 cM.

I hope there will be an identification announcement soon, a lot of time since the last announcement..

It’s possible there may not be one for a bit, but I could be wrong again.
Gary Herbst’s announcement was months apart from Ginger Bibb’s.

I have thought that last year the LEs were not able to travel to speak with families, but this year they have more chances to contact relatives. And as we know there are about 10 more cases solved but not officially announced. But you are probably right.

Hopefully things will start to move along again vaccination picking up in the US/Canada. Though things are quite bad in Ontario at the moment.
