Do you guys think AB and EB killed Zahra?

If the reports are true, and Z was ill with a stomach virus for 2 weeks - I believe (IMHO) it was death by neglect. Then AB and EB got rid of her body. I do not think there is a third party involved.

I haven't heard of him being at a single search. Can you link that info for me. Thanks.

He was at several of the searches in the first days...don't know about since...sorry to say I'm supposed to be cleaning, not on WS, so I can't look up links right now, but if someone doesn't, next time I sit back here (cause I'm really really really going back to cleaning now, lol!) I will find them...

This just gets nastier and nastier with every passing day. At the beginning I believed AB was innocent of the entire thing, before and after. Within 24 hours I had done a complete and total U-turn on that idea. I not only think they are both up to their eyebrows in this, but am of the firm belief that another third person was in it as well. Once EB and AB go down for this the other person or persons involved will be completely ratted out. I for one am very, very happy (if one can rightly call it that when it comes to a case like this) in the way that the LE have gone about this investigation. Ever since that interview when LE broke down at the beginning, I knew he would push through to bring justice to our little freckle faced Angel.

Investigators removed mattresses and bed rails from the house that were wrapped up in plastic. Those items will presumably be taken to a lab for testing. Authorities, however, won't comment on what they were looking for or what they found.
Zahra's father, Adam Baker, was at the house with police, but he did not say anything when he left around 12:30 p.m. Police said the search was just another step in looking for answers.

Here is just one link, but he was also at the first searches of his work locations.

I firmly believe that dear Zahra was murdered.
Very well planned at least in the minds of SM and Father.

I am still REALLY torn on AB's involvement.
Something about LE having him at all these searches is telling me they know a lot more than we do. Notice ... EB wasn't allowed out of the vehicle. AB is out there like he's LE's right hand man. I just feel that it would be really strange if LE was allowing AB on all these search sites without some STRONG info that he's NOT involved OR that his involvement was limited (possibly to disposal? ) . There are too many "what ifs" that could arise with the potential perp on the site .

What if he saw something? What if he moved something? What if he purposefully planted someone elses DNA (hair, etc.) What if he saw LE mishandle something? What if he removed something from the scene ?

I don't think LE is going to GIVE him those possible defenses. They have either confirmation of what he was actually involved in .... or a written confession. Which tells me they AREN'T looking at charging AB for murder.

BBM What you said makes so much sense. I thought I was forming an opinion, but must take into consideration exactly what you said. :waitasec:

I think EB did it, either intentionally or accidentally. That I'm not quite sure yet with what little info we have. I think AB probably helped her dispose of the body but as of yet, I don't have a strong that he was involved in causing her death.

My opinion only, and who am I really?

I just can't get that part out of my head. LE is not going to risk the investigation like that IMO. Which means somehow they KNOW that he didn't kill Zahra. (moo)

I think at best we are looking at AB being charged with POSSIBLY neglect? Possible abuse of a corpse? Or he may have made a deal with them already to give all the information he knows in exchange for lesser or even no charges at all.

However, this doesn't remove the possibility of a third party facing charges ... but that's a different thread....

Zahra's dad meets with police, mom arrives in US as 'possible human remains' found.

Meanwhile, Adam Baker, Zahra's father who first reported her missing in a 911 call on Oct. 9, was at the Hickory Police station Thursday afternoon for about an hour. He and his attorney met with investigators and was later allowed to leave.

I am not sure that Zahra was ill for two weeks before she died, I think the law looks a lot more kindly on negligence than murder and this may also be a cover for her not being seen for two weeks. I think she died and was disposed of at least two weeks before the phone call to 911. This would mean that disposal of the body could have been easily accomplished in that time frame.
It's possible only the fact that biomom had found them caused the 911 call, it's obvious if AB cared anything about her, by the time of the call he was "over it".

I am not entirely convinced AB was involved. I do however believe someone was. I can't keep from thinking if drugs were involved that there is someone out there who is capable of doing hateful mean things with possibly nothing else to lose.
I am probably way off on 3rd base on this but there is so much that doesn't make sense.

I think Eliza has shown too much of a history (imo) of abuse, Munchausen's and Munchausen's by Proxy to not suspect that she might have been making Zahra sick. Or, if she really kept wishing that Zahra could go away (too much trouble), her Munchausen's by Proxy kicked straight to 'kill her' mode.

She put her own kids in wheelchairs and things, so I could imagine it going much farther for a lone stepchild years later. ETA: and one with cancer in remission! She must have thought she could go as far as she liked in creating illnesses! --IMO--

OTOH, I do think there looks like there must have been great violence in the bedroom.

So my working theory is a killing to cover up (eta: or finally end) how sick EB had made her. I wouldn't rule out chronic poisoning.

I'm thinking the attention she sought came from internet and real-life friends and relatives, not doctors. I don't think they spent the money on doctors, and I don't think EB wanted her to be fixed in any case.

Not challenging anyone, Westside, I just want clarification. I didn't see anything in that article saying ADAM Baker went to any search sites. I see that it says ELISA did. Maybe I'm just missing it...it's a long article. :waitasec:

I will go back if you need me to. in the first week AB was at the searches that had to do with the woodchippers. I just went through the archives and found the first one I saw. I have dial up so may need to just state it in a new postbut I will be happy to do so. I just remember being blown away by how much he was there for. IIRC he was at searches at the house and at the work place. This is actually what made me believe he was innocent. I guess thats why I remember it so much.

Okay, wasn't aware he was at the worksite search (I can research this myself, since you're on dial-up). As for the home search, you're talking about the intial search, immediately after 911 call when police arrived?

(Sorry, not trying to drive you crazy, Westside. Honest.) :)

haven't found it yet (I am bad at these searches, lol!) but I know I've seen it like a bazillion times! I have to pick up my youngest son from aftercare and if it's not posted by when I get back, I'll look again (not sure if he was at the house search, though, just some of the site searches)

Last Friday, investigators were back to Zahra's home looking for more clues into her disappearance. Cadaver dogs searched the yard and then went inside the one-story home.
