I think the excuse that they were too fragile to sit for the depositions was lame. If GA was too fragile, why did he put himself in front of the cameras for the Haleigh case? And at the hearing yesterday, CA looked like she was all dressed up for her new scene in this "play", and eager to get back in front of the cameras.

I hope John Morgan goes after them with a venegance now after seeing them in court yesterday.

totally agree.....they didn't look fragile whatsoever....and apparently draw support from bc and since he is always there...put him to work!!!!!

Both G and C were at the hearing today and both looked fit as fiddles, especially C who looked as if she just had her hair done. If they were not too emotionally fragile to come face to face with their granddaughter's murderer, I don't see why a deposition should frazzle them. I guess they just don't want to answer questions under oath. Hmm.

They've never hesitated to lie under oath before, so why would it bother them now? LOL My hunch is that BC is worried he won't be able to control Cindy at the depo if JM gets in her face.

another thing....if they are this "fragile" for the depo......WTH are they going to to do during the trial???? that would have to be a million times worse to sit thru....lots worse..but that is just my opionion only.... :twocents::blushing:

Their refusal to sit for the depositions reaffirms the low opinion I formed of them early on, when they refused to take polygraphs in July, as soon as they discovered Caylee was missing and in jeopardy. Since then, most of their statements have been dishonest and designed to obstruct justice for Caylee, AND justice for KC. I don't know where CA and LA got all their gall and their mammoth sense of entitlement and superiority, but so far, it's sure been workin' for 'em.

The way things are going, I fully expect them to try to get the actual trial postponed to suit their own timing. LOL

Anybody know if the A's lawyer could get a restraining order against J Morgan for harrassment? They haven't tried that yet. LOL!

I admit I would enjoy finally seeing someone (JM) get "tough" with Cindy if she lies under oath or tries to take over the deposition. I say this for 2 reasons, the first is obviously indignation over her past behavior, but the second reason is that if Cindy's buttons get pushed, I think we'll witness the Cindy that Casey and George know, and it will be scary.

What is denial? The A's were certainly in denial at the very beginning with KC and probably in denial that Caylee was still alive. I'm not too sure it wasn't HOPE instead of denial. As long as there was any other scenario they could hang onto, they refused to believe the obvious.
Have you ever known someone ravished with cancer and everyone around them (including the patient) believes they can still beat it when the doctors say they have done all they can do? Or have you ever known a child that is lying in a hospital bed and is brain dead, but you pray and think maybe, just maybe they are wrong and the child can come back? To me, those are moments of denial. Or has anyone ever told you that you are overbearing, overstepping your boundaries or obsessive about something and you say, nah, that's not true? I think there are different degrees of denial.

There came a point in this case that A's could no longer use that excuse. As for LA's deposition, he is either dumber than a rock or he's playing a dangerous game and it's called perjury. IMO

If they didn't believe Caylee was gone, why did they set up the Caylee Marie Anthony Foundation in October? Then, wait til the memorial announcement and pretend they just set it up?? I really believe they are simply liars, just like their daughter, and that's where she learnt it.

I think you're right. John Morgan reminds me of Sam Ervin - the US Senator who chaired the Watergate Hearings. (I know, I know, ancient history). He comes across as such a charming, sympathetic, Southern, country gentleman. All the while, he is digging away at the witness, occasionally dropping semi-disparaging comments. I think Cindy will fall for the kindly gentleman and bask in his attention. At some point, the digs will register and she will explode. When she does, I expect a lot of information will come out.

An earlier poster mentioned that the Court should require that the physicians who provide documentation regarding CA and GA stipulate how long they have been treating them. Statements from physicians who came on board after last Wednesday should not bear much weight in the Court's decision. I certainly hope this will be the case. Favorable medical opinions, like defense expert testimonies, are easily bought.

I wonder if the judge will ask Cindy to spit her gum out before she testifies as a courtesy to the court reporter.

I, for one, would like to know a lot more about this CMA Fund. Sort of all in the family , isn't it? Or it appears to be. Is an 'outside, impartial' party required to oversee these things?

O/T Hi Bunny! Nice to see ya!

You know, if I recall correctly, that's exactly what happened when she got on the stand for the bail hearing. She looked around for something to put it in.

I agree!! I believe Cindy is driven by her incessant need for:

1. Control
2. Control
3. more Control

It's the fuel in her engine and I believe J. Morgan could most likely capitalize on this to get her to further purjure herself under oath. BC is terribly worried about Cindy (aka loose cannon) and doesn't want Morgan to get the chance to fuel her fire. I have read some of Morgan's past (public record) depos of others and am impressed by his ability to question witnesses. If he gets the chance to depose Cindy (and I hope he does), I know he has plenty of strategies in his hat to get her to talk. Even if BC objects to every question, we may very well see Cindy unable to be 'reigned in' at all. JMO...

If I understand the depo rules correctly, Cindy will not be able to decide what questions she wants to answer. I would expect to see her get up and walk out on the interview.

The link below is to her first network news interview, back in July, and Cindy first gets tough with Megan Kelley and then hangs up on her!

Cindy is incredibly brazen, fearless, and defiant--what a shame those traits were never used against some social, civil, or political evil.

My opinion is the same- CA is not going to do anything she can't control...unless ordered by a judge.....
