A New Mexico man is recovering after he says his dog, Charlie, shot him.

Yes, he said his 120-pound Rottweiler mix shot him in the back.

Charlie, Scooter and Cowboy, Gilligan's other dogs, were taken to the Animal Service Center of the Mesilla Valley, where they were eventually "bonded out."

"Poor Charlie, he's a good dog," Gilligan said. "The sheriff's department said the only one they had trouble with was Cowboy. The other two were friendly. Charlie is the boss, but he's gentle."

IMO, this was premeditated. A conspiracy, even. Never turn your back on an armed dog. Especially if he has a bone to pick with you.
