The Toronto Police Service requests the public’s assistance locating a missing man.

Dominic Kardasiewicz, 33, was last seen on Friday, May 25, 2018, at approximately 11:30 p.m., in the Lansdowne Avenue and Bloor Street West area.

He is described as 6’2”, unshaven, medium build, blue eyes with short brown hair. He was last seen wearing a bright red zip-up Adidas hoody with white stripes on the sleeves, light blue/grey vintage t-shirt, grey knee-length shorts and cream-colour canvas Adidas running shoes. He also has a tattoo of a revolver on the back of his left calf."

"Friends are searching for 33-year-old Dominic Kardasiewicz, who was last seen Friday evening near Bloor Street West and Lansdowne Ave, and say his sudden disappearance is totally out of character.

His girlfriend Rossi Gifford said he was out with several friends at The Emerson Restaurant on Friday. The group parted ways around 11:30 p.m. and left him walking east towards Dufferin St.
Gifford wasn’t with him that evening, she said, and the last text she got from him was from around 11:30 p.m. saying “Everyone’s dispersing. I assume you’re already asleep.”

No one has heard from him since."

Gifford said it’s “super out of character” for Kardasiewicz to just disappear, describing him as a “really relaxed chill guy,” who works as animator and loves music.

“Then just coming back to the apartment later that day, he has a cat and the food dishes were empty, and just there was no sign that he even returned,” she said.

“That was the very unsettling part. He’s not even been back.”

A Facebook group has also been launched to help with the search, which now has over 300 members.

One of our own went missing in Toronto on Friday night. Dominic Kardasiewicz was last seen in Toronto’s west end, around 11:30 pm on May 25th. He was walking home from Bloor and Landsdowne, and was heading east towards Dufferin. Home is Dovercourt and Queen.

Dominic worked at Industrial Brothers, and before that he was at Brown Bag Films and Smiley Guy Studios. No one has heard from him in days, and apparently this is very out of character.


Please help spread the word. Searches are being organized, and posters are going up all over the area.

“It is highly unusual for him to have disappeared off the grid like this. Normally he would contact people and let them know what he is doing either by phone, email or text,” Kardasiewicz’s father Mark said at a news conference held at 14 Division headquarters on Wednesday. “If you are out there somewhere gives us a call. There is lots of people out there who are getting concerned about you.”

Police say that they reviewed the surveillance footage at the apartment where Kardasiewicz lives alone and are confident that he did not make it home on the night in question.

Police also say that Kardasiewicz has not accessed his bank accounts or used his cell phone since his disappearance. Investigators also contacted Uber to determine whether Kardasiewicz may have requested a ride somewhere but his account has not been accessed, police say"

From the above article: there’s a sighting on surveillance cameras (after he left his friends) at Pizza Pizza at Bloor & Dovercourt. His apartment is near Queen & Dovercourt.

According to CTV news last night, he was seen leaving Pizza Pizza walking in the direction South on Dovercourt. There was/is no mention/sighting of anyone else with him.

It’s a 20-30 minute walk from the Pizza Pizza to his apartment. Straight down Dovercourt.

If I were friends/family searching, I’d be checking every side or back alley as well as any construction sites/basement entries or steps on that street.

ETA: longshot that I don’t really believe is possible, but I’d also check Christie Pits Park. Just to eliminate it. This may already have been done. And or post flyers there.
