Thanks for the update, maybe more information will be released later, but assuming the worst.

There is still no official confirmation, but unfortunately I believe your assumption is correct.

The autopsy was today. Whether or not we’ll hear any details is doubtful, unless it turns out to be foul play ( police say not, in the above article).

The body of a Toronto man missing for just over a week after a night out with friends has been located, and foul play is not suspected in his death, police say.

In a tweet, Kardasiewicz's girlfriend, Rossi Gifford, said police recovered his body from Lake Ontario and that he had been deceased for a week.

***WARNING: IM A TERRIBLE WRITER BUT I WILL DO MY BEST TO TRY RELAY MY THOUGHTS AS THEY ARE IN MY HEAD!! :/ :/ :/

This specific case for some reason pops into my head at least once every day since the day the news reported him missing. Now that he has been found, I'm extremely bothered by what the media has released regarding the circumstances around his death. Im not only in the mental health field but I've also lived with a few issues from as far back as I can remember in my 34 years. From the details they have released to the public which include a very simple timeline of Dominics last moves the night he went missing, a televised plea from his parents for help and/or for him to contact them, and the latest, a social media post from his girlfriend, now also available intel from local media a heartbreaking notice that his body was recovered from Lake Ontario "foul play not suspected". Foul play not suspected????. Now I have not read that they have closed the case and determined the COD as suicide, but given that his last active timeline had nothing at all to do with the water, I feel like suicide is the conclusion that they are leaning towards. If he was out on the water and never came home then "no foul play" would be acceptable to not give any indication of suicide. However, given the circumstances, thats exactly what I feel like they are trying to say. They just can't make any such statement until it has been determined by the ME. The timeline of his last movements along with his mental health condition are two obvious key factors that would contribute to the cause of death determination of suicide. Now I don't know what his mental state was at that time but Im assuming that if there were concerns of something as important as that, it would of been part of the discussion during the search in the missing stage of this case. But it wasn't. So common sense would tell us that there were no concerns of said problems. To add to that after he was found there was something said by his family along the lines of this doesn't sound like Dominic, or this isn't something that he would do.

So, they have not declared this a suicide as of yet but when someone goes missing and they're body was found a week later in Lake Ontario with no foul play suspected you can probably make an accurate guess as to what the cause of death will lead to. BUT.....the timeline of events that have been put together and coincide with the assumption that this was in fact his last day alive should scream to detectives that this is not a suicide. If not a suicide then what? Maybe some kind of accident ? An accident that someone isn't coming forward with? If you're wondering what does it matter if it was a suicide or an accident, as long as no one is responsible for his death! Well, it does matter, it matters to the people that still have a life to live. The people who loved him, who miss him and who's lives have been forever changed in one of the worst ways. Ask anybody who's ever lost a loved one that took their own life what kind of impact it left on them and their lives. Of coarse you expect to hear of the obvious emotions in bereavement of an overwhelming level of anger and sadness etc. But, suicide leaves loved ones with certain common emotions that are very hard to live with.Feelings of things like regret or responsibility that make the grieving process even more difficult for those people.(Not at all taking away from any difficulties anyone faces when dealing with death of any kind) Ergo it does matter. It is important for the quality of life left with the people still here.

Mental health professionals that know what they're doing or the people (who I call the experts) that struggle with or has struggled with suicide who are aware and understand what we know as common and sometimes very specific elements surrounding the mental health issue(s) that lead to suicide along with the soul issue of suicide, would see nothing but red flags. Red flags everywhere the second they hear his now what is known to be his last few moves leading to his death either on that same date or in the very early hours of the next morning. They should also have a similar and quick thought come to mind of SOMETHING IS NOT RIGHT. So I guess as of now I just wait until the COD has been determined, and hope that its released to the public. It may have already been done and I just don't know or can't find it anywhere. Maybe it wont be made public? Im not fimiliar with any kind of rules or regulations regarding this kind of information and the public or if there even are any. When I google 'Dominic Kardasiewicz Autopsy Results' this website comes up and looks like there is intel in here somewhere about this case. Intel that I don't have and that I would be very interested in obtaining.

Anyone????

Welcome to Ws Xtina 84!
It is terribly sad that Dominic has been found in Lake Ontario and perplexing as to how and why he ended up there.
One might presume it was suicide, but sometimes people simply fall into the water, especially if they are intoxicated.
No idea what happened to Dominic, but hopefully his family is able to find or figure it out.
imo. speculation.

Falling into the water is really the only other sensible option here, my problem with this is from where he was located when he left the pizza pizza to entering the water what routes could he take with no video surveillance of him anywhere? To fall into the water he would have had to be considerably high and above the water somewhere no? Unless he decided to enter at the shoreline somewhere to go for a swim in his full clothing and for no reason which sounds like a massive reach for an answer. Also i do understand that people do strange things when intoxicated but usually we see that at very high levels of intoxication and from the text message he sent to his girlfriend he comes across as very alert along with the footage of him leaving the pizza store with no mention of any visual intoxication indicators. In my humble opinion anyhow. I tried to look at the accidental theory in all angles and I can't find anything that gives me any confidence in that direction. Which leaves us with suicide and like I said in my thread if that comes out to be the COD I would have major problems with that. Because of my huge amount of doubt in both of those possibilities then i feel like that tells us someone is missing something. My heart just broke into pieces when i saw his parents media appearance. Just like anyone else they deserve to at the least have the right answers if possible.
