I have heard that people with HPV (genital warts) cannot even donate blood. I wonder if that's true.
HPV is not transfered through blood, so having HPV doesn't disqualify you from donating blood.
HPV is very common and there are over 100 strains of it. About 30 of those are sexually transmitted Some strains cause genital warts, some cause cervical cancer, some cause no noticeable symptoms. While having genital warts is an indicator of having HPV, having HPV does not mean you have genital warts.
