Donna Brock

DB knew she would be sentenced to 15 years behind bars b/c it is the minimum mandatory so what was the point of having character witnesses testify at her hearing? It didn't make any difference in Hope's case.

This picture, taken shortly after Donna's fallout with Tim Miller speaks volumns to me regarding the character of Donna Brock.

Some of you have shown some sympathy towards Donna and her recent sentence.

I for one, feel that Donna has been around the block a few times, was not in this show to find a missing child, and enjoyed her involvement with the Cummings Croslin clan.

My guess would be that Donna Brock is a pill head from way back.

I think this picture shows the real Donna Brock and all the class she does not have.

This is my opinion.

Not sure I could say she was a pill head from way back, but it sure does say what she feels. She's where she deserves to be. Too bad if it didn't fit in with her long-term retirement goals.

I've seen this picture before and if I recall, most of the women in the photgraph were also displaying this same gesture. Perhaps the photographer made a sexist remark or perhaps they meant it as a joke. Whatever the case may be, she was not the only one giving this sign. Granted, I would not be photographed doing this, but we don't know why all or most of the women were doing it either.

I know nothing of DB's background, so I can't judge her in any way except to say it's very unfortunate her judgment or lack thereof led her to where she is today.

By the time these sentences are served, I expect there will be more than one attitude of invincibility that will be adjusted.

I believe LP was right on the money when he appeared on Nancy Grace’s Show September 3rd and stated his opinion on this situation. Any respect I had for AH is gone and I hold TM partly responsible for what happened to DB and MC yet he comes out of this smelling like a rose. When are people finally going to accept Misty doesn’t know anything and stopped harassing her? :banghead:

<snipped>

LEONARD PADILLA, BOUNTY HUNTER, OFFERED TO BAIL MISTY CROSLIN OUT OF JAIL: I don`t believe that Donna knows any more than what she`s already said or has communicated to law enforcement.

Donna is -- is an exact example of an amateur getting involved in a situation of this nature. I think sometimes people see somebody else create a situation like we did with Casey and Tracy and Rob in order to get information and they figure well that must be that simple, but it`s not.

It`s a very professional situation that has to be approached with a lot of intelligence and sober instinct. And I don`t think Donna and Tim Miller and Bill Staub had that ability, and therefore they get themselves all wrapped up.

Staub got arrested, Donna is going to prison. And still Misty hasn`t said anything to anybody.

The situation with Donna, believe me, if she knew something right now, she`d be spilling her guts. She hasn`t got any more knowledge about the situation that she can give up.

Well, I'm really hoping for one in particular. LOL

why does this photo look like an inmate photo? Is this real or just another photo chop...

Yes it is your opinion. Now, let me tell you how your opinion affects a young man who is this woman's son.

Donna's son has contacted me a few times. He is a doll. He is extremely hurt about what has happened and above all he loves his mom.

He reads here a lot. I explained to him that people will have negative opinions about his mom and I will let those opinions stand because that is what we do. Also I explained that his mom will have to take the heat for what she has done.

I did tell him that I would make sure that our Terms of Service were honored when it came to speaking about his mother.

The link you posted with Donna's picture might actually not violate our TOS at all but I am making this decision with my heart. Her son does not need to see this. He has done nothing wrong and this is ripping his heart out.

I'm one of those that has shown sympathy towards Donna. Sorry, but I think a decent woman got screwed. & how can you say that she wasn't in this show to find a missing child? I don't think there's ever been any question of her motivation, & that's exactly how this all started. & as for her being a pill head from way back? Well, good grief. I see no indication of that, whatsoever...it's not like she had Ron Cumming's record. & this picture doesn't bother me, because it's obviously a posed shot for the camera. & it's the finger. big deal. I don't know if it'll do any good, but after all of these people have been sentenced, I'm planning to write somebody, (I don't know who), on her behalf. I'm not saying she didn't commit a crime, but she should be treated like the normal non violent 1st time drug offender. & again, I feel sympathy for this lady, because she doesn't deserve this.

A photo never tells the whole story...we went through that over and over with the photos of RC and his kids.

dodie,

I am with you about the photo and the sentence. I have had two photos of me doing that, yes, little Bern . One when I was in my twenties and with a friend, taken in one of those little photo booths, we were bff and had our photo taken both giving the finger. The last one, was one my hubby took. He wanted me to model his new air plane and I was so mad about the cost as he took the pic I shot him the bird, LOL! He posted it on his site he goes too and the boys all thought it was a hoot! So we do stupid stuff. I don't judge that photo, at all. Not the best lady like thing to do, but not a reason to think she deserves to be where she is. She probably wanted to be the Hero, and get Misty to talk, and she got sucked in, it happens. I can't tell you how many people over a life time of friends I have seen get hooked on the booze or sucked into drugs. But I think she got too harsh a sentence. Sex offenders get less, I have seen people convicted of manslaughter (reduced sentenced) get less time. She didn't kill anyone, but someone she was hanging with did and she had poor judgment, but I don't think she deserved 15 years. JMO

This is just a theory, based on MOO, but I think LE had a problem with Tim Miller, (for some reason), so they jabbed it to Donna Brock. to prove a point?

I do recall that TM was the one to send in Donna with money to get Misty to talk. So maybe she is paying the price for going undercover for TM. I would hope not, but you never know. I don't know where she was sent to serve out her term but I hope that her family will at least send some money and visit and write to her. She is truly alone and in a very sad place for a very long time.

Bravo to you Tricia for this response, now I don't think the name of the thread fits, do you? I mean do we really know the real Donna Brock? No, only what the press and rumors and opinions of others lead us to believe about her. I thought a family member started a thread to tell us about her and say something positive and encouraging about her. I don't think we have the right to judge her on this photo. Oh, ya JMO

Well, I feel for the young man too, the same as I feel for all children who have parents who are incarcerated, it is very hard for the children and families.
His Mom should have been with her family instead of at a Truck stop making a drug sale with Misty.

You're right, but people make mistakes, & I think she deserves a chance to prove herself, like most others are allowed to do. Do you understand? Because of her past charity work, no record, & her age & family, I just feel really bad about this sentence. She doesn't belong in prison. & some of you can say that she brought this on herself, but Ronald brought about a lifetime of prison on his own self, but he's not gonna have to serve it . How many times was he arrested before something finally stuck? & he had some serious priors. How many 2nd chances did he get? How many 2nd chances do most people get? I think Donna deserves her 2nd chance.

Bern and dodie20,

I, too, am with you regarding Donna Brock. The photo, or any photo for that matter, like words, can be taken out of context and presented in any manner in which the presenter chooses.

I know nothing about Donna Brock’s personal life other than she came here with Texas Equusearch to help find a missing child. She was paid to befriend MC to try to get information from her regarding what may have happened to HaLeigh. In essence, she was paid to go undercover…a job, which IMO, she should have never been asked to do, unless she had an extensive background in LE. However, she was asked and she accepted. It is MOO that she got caught up in the middle of something she wasn’t trained for or equipped to handle. I’m not sure about this, but I don’t recall ever reading or hearing about her using drugs, other than the prescription drugs she gave to MC to sell. Unfortunately, the amount of drugs she gave to MC carried a mandatory minimum of 15 yrs.

IMVHO, this is a very sad situation and I feel badly for her and her family. :(

I have only heard about the photo since there wasn't a link in the first post of this thread. Where are you seeing this photo? I'm assuming it is the one of Donna flipping the bird but I'm just guessing. Is there another one out there that I have missed? If so, please help me here. Thanks.

I totally support your thoughts on Donna. I think Ron sucked up all the 2nd chances that were out there and left none for anyone else. Since when does flipping the bird deserve 15 years in prison?????????? WTH? We do not know what the photographer said to the women in the photo to all flip the bird. We do not know! I think the sentence was a total "flipping bird entitled" mess. In fact, if Ron gets cut loose and doesn't get his well deserved time, I'll flip the bird myself to the justice system in that county.
