 ....yeah, eve, I really have a lot of trouble with people not being able to "walk the walk", in case you haven't noticed...LOL :D

Your observations are right on target!

Oh man, what a disappointment. I had the hots for Doogie big time.
I never thought that he was all that. So, I agree with the posters who says that it doesn't matter to them. ;)

I think some of the gossip sites are on a big kick to publically out gay actors. Neil Patrick Harris was their latest target.
I agree. I think that he "came out of the closet" before he was going to be "outed." I think that it is kind of humorous as in this day and age it is just not a scandal like it would have been in years gone by (think Rock Hudson days).

He wasnt living "In the Closet" or hiding his sexuality from those in his life it mattered to. I dont understand the agenda lately to force anyone to publically state their sexuality to the International Press. It shouldnt even be an issue.

I'm a newbie, so please don't bash me, but I say good for Neil Patrick Harris. It must come as some relief to him to publicly acknowledge what has been part of his essence for many years. He is who he is, a decent actor (who is also pretty cute) who happens to be gay. The shame is that the media makes a big deal about it and there are some folks who still have issues with it. I will say that the Websleuths folks are quite tolerant and accepting. I read the CourtTV boards (don't have the nerve to post and be dismembered), and some posters have definite issues (what might they be hiding?). JMHO.

Is there anyone left in Hollywood that ISN'T gay, anymore?

LOS ANGELES — Neil Patrick Harris is gay and wants to quell any rumors to the contrary.
The 33-year-old actor said he was motivated to disclose his sexuality because of recent "speculation and interest in my private life and relationships."

Harris stars on the CBS comedy "How I Met Your Mother." He started on TV as a teen, playing the namesake doctor on the series "Doogie Howser, M.D."

Fox News reporting this story as "important" and DK starting a thread about it. Why am I not surprised?

Fox News downplays and dismisses the story about Pastor Ted Haggard the gay hating evangelical preacher who admits to hiring a male prostitute for a "massage" and buying (but not inhaling) methamphetamine from him.

Here is a long article about Pastor Ted:

Pastor Ted's links should go on the thread in the Political Pavillion. ;) Speaking of Fox News, aren't they No. 1 in cable news? If so, it must be for a reason. ;)

On any given day, more people typically tune to CNN than to Fox .

The average is arrived at by counting viewers every minute. Heavy viewers--those who tune in to a station and linger there--have a greater impact, as they can be counted multiple times as they watch throughout the day.

CNN viewers tune in briefly to catch up on news and headlines, while Fox viewers watch longer for the opinion and personality-driven programming.

I don't want to see this thread go off topic, but Pastor Ted is creepy and a hypocrite. I can see why he has to pay someone. Yuck! Sheesh, Ted, go to an orthodontist.

I will post my reply on the "Evangelist is Gay" thread in the PP. I apologize for going off topic on the "Doogie is Gay" thread. :)

Yes, how dare you talk about anything other than Doogie Howser's sexuality?

I agree with Tybee, this crap is hardly news, but it makes headlines repeatedly. I suppose if "coming out" gets you free press, then it's seen as a good career move.

I like Clay Aiken's response to those questions: "Butt Out!" (Hopefully that wasn't a pun!)

Well, it makes no difference to me, one way or the other. I would imagine it takes a lot of courage to come out...especially in Hollywood. I have friends who are gay, and one has yet to tell his mom and dad (he's 55). I'm sure they know, but he's just not comfortable telling them.

Didn't NPH play a role on Will & Grace about a gay guy trying to get back on the other team? It was a show about a bunch of men and women doing this (in a support group situation). It was funny. Of course, Will & Grace is my all-time favorite show. Loved it...and hated to see it end.

I'm a lot like Karen (sort of), and my friend is a lot like Jack, so you can only imagine the fun we have. I've known him since I was in the 8th grade.

Oh please let's not get DK started with all the Godboy stuff :p
Ya know, I think he may even be toning it down lately, haven't seen any Praise the Lords and hallelujahs for a while now!

We know he thinks its uncool to be gay, I doubt he has changed his stance on that...

Yeah, the latest fad for them. It used to be who was sleeping with who, now it's who is straight or gay - I think a lot of the shock factor is long gone, they've been looking for years for something new to gossip about that people might care about, share in shocked whispers. Gay has just about lost it's power too.
