I respect your posting, I really do. I wish my experiences in life would lead me to your thoughts on this subject. For the longest I was able to give benefit of the doubt to people. After many decades and witnessing so much of what humans are capable of, I finally cannot do it anymore. IMO, Cindy is most definitely narcissistic and with that personality type, EVERYTHING they feel, think or do is all about them. Even when it doesn't seem so, it is. If they do a good deed it is not so much because they want to help, but because they will receive recognition. Cindy's type of denial is not like what normal people experience. What normal people experience is not being able to wrap their minds around something because they just didn't think other people could act that way. Cindy's denial stems from not wanting others to believe that HER actions are in any way responsible for how messed up her family is. It is not the kind of denial that just happens. It is denial with a purpose. It is deliberate and meant to manipulate. IMO.

Wow. I think you just nailed it.

Well said!! I agree with you. I think when GA is looking down it's out of complete sadness for what he didn't do.

Did you see the body language expert on DPs show last night. He was excellent. He said it showed that George was still in a lot of pain and is recalling images of Caylee as he speaks that tears him up inside.

He thought he was very truthful but there is still a lot of sadness/pain and anger toward Casey.

The reason I disagree is that Cindy has been quoted by others saying horrible things about Casey. Jesse Grund,Amy and TonE all gave descriptions of their encounters with Cindy . Amy had a long conversation in the car.
It wasn't until Casey was arrested that Cindy started back pedaling and describing the mother of the year. To me ,that's cover up mode. Suddenly Casey was the Saint and all the friends she was warning about Casey ,were now the possible murderers.

Do you believe Cindy should have foreseen what Casey would do? Casey was a theif and liar and Cindy was PISSED about it.

Only someone like CA would refer to GA as stealing money he also contributed to a bank account they jointly owned and yet describes KC as borrowing thousands and thousands of dollars by writing forged checks and maxing out a paid off credit card. lol jmo

That is just another manipulation game played by Casey and she knew perfectly well how to play her mother to her benefit.

Steal the money out of Cindy's purse herself but blame it on dad. Yep, that will work because Casey and Cindy blame George for everything anyway.

But who ripped Cindy off for $$$$$$$$$ and her grandparent too?

That is the glaring problem. Psychopaths can look and acting like normal people. That is why so many of them are highly successful in their career choices. They are even known to fool psychiatrists/psychologists. That is how good they are with their web of deceit of smoke and mirrors, imo.

They are able to morph when it behooves them. Appearance sake is vitally important to a psychopath.

IMO
Casey never told her parents she was short a credit and would not be graduating.
Casey was pregnant and ,well ,I really don't know when she told anyone because their stories all vary, but they denied it at Rick's wedding not long before the birth.
Casey never paid Lee for the car and Cindy and George let her get away with it.
A friend of Lee's told LE that Casey lied about everything,,everybody knew it ,but no one ever confronted her.It sounded like a well known fact of who Casey was,not something new that just popped up.

I think there were issues before Caylee was born. We just haven't heard from anyone .Remember ,Kio Marie was not allowed in the Anthony home and didn't see the dynamics.

I cannot stress enough that Cindy Anthony is NOT in denial.
Cindy is still in cover up mode with her lame lies of excuses for her murdering daughter.

Exactly!! CA considers it more important to lie and to stick to those lies than any backlash ... she knows we know she is lying. She cannot help herself.

CA obviously worked HARD on some new spin to mitigate the various facets of this case and rehabilitate FCA. Excuses, excuses, excuses. Spin, spin, spin.

CA and FCA are EXACTLY the same in that they both stick to their lies regardless, they both make bold faced (obvious) lies, they both evolve and improve their lies over time and, and ... even if faced with the truth they remain true to their lies.

As was stated by TH's yesterday, even if CA was confronted by a bus of nuns that saw FCA murder Caylee ... CA would offer that sometimes nuns lie.

Maybe she can use part of the $200,000 her Mexican-Californian sugar daddy gave her to stat a fresh life?

Heck, she would still have some dollars left to pay her spiritual advisor, house-visiting team of therapists, private Spanish tutor, 24/7 body-guards, and tuition for on-line GDE courses.

She might have to skimp some on her snack choices, but then, certainly she should be suffering some little bit, no? :fence:

This wasn't addressed to me but I'd like to answer. I don't know if Cindy could have foreseen the murder of Caylee. I'd have to know what, if any, types of threats Casey had made and how often. I'd want to know of any physical acting out by Casey. Verbal threats I would take very seriously. Because when someone threatens to do something, even out of anger, there is a seed growing. When someone is telling you who they are, LISTEN! That's what I do for my own survival.

5 minute clip here of judge strickland on NG (with jeanC) last night.

..talks about the dr.phil interview, the verdict, the jury..

She could potentially get more than that for any interview/book/etc. What is the significance of the 9/28 date? Is that when they no longer consider Caylee a missing person?

True, but I don't see any publisher taking that gamble any time soon. I hope and pray KC will be in prison for another crime before that time comes.

And that is exactly what psychopaths do. They are all about 'appearance." They know they must mimic normalcy. They know what is expected of them and they will do it when it behooves them when around others.

I shudder to think how Casey was though when no one was around but just Caylee and Casey. I imagine then little Caylee had to fend for herself finding ways to occupy her mind.

reading through this thread and just came upon this post....

I remember reading here in the past and people here commenting on the several "silent" videos that were taken of little Caylee playing on a bed, also one she was dancing around, where the video taker (assumed it was the felon) did not speak a word to Caylee, the video taker was just observing Caylee in absolute silence. Caylee would look at the videographer like she wished the person would engage her, it seemed to me.

It was commented on how very odd those videos were, and I specifically remember this because of how odd I also thought it was. I have a 4 year old granddaughter, and I cannot imagine videoing her dancing around, having a ball, without saying something as the videographer. Even when I take her pictures I talk to her and kid around with her. I thought at the time and when I read this comment above, I think it speaks volumes of how Caylee was treated by the felon when no one was around. IMO, MOO, etc.

Without even taking the stand to lie, the jury excused Casey's actions and she has not been held accountable. Cindy did take the stand, lied, was proven to have lied, yet not held accountable. She staged an ornate tribute for Caylee, left the impression that perhaps some cremains were in that Teddy Bear (maybe the same one she carried to court that day). Now, she has said on national TV, that was of no meaning because it is only a shell anyway. Now, she has admitted that Caylee's body that had been left in the woods was not where Casey had left it. She has decided now that she likes God because he gave her the answer she and Caylee wanted. Although I never liked her, down deep I always felt a little sorry for her, she had to have loved Caylee -who wouldn't love an adorable little cutie like that? Now, I don't care if she ever loved Casey or Caylee or Lee or even George. I don't care about her one way or the other if she ever gets any answers or recognition from her daughter or comes to some understanding of who, what, where, or why. George confuses me and I start to waver on thoughts of him - but hey, he's a grown man, he can always leave, he did it before. At least he doesn't pretend to be in denial. If people think their donations are for a good cause - will those funds be accountable?

Has anyone brought up the idea that maybe CA was jealous of the felon in regards to GA. Seems insecurity plays a role in CA's personality so I could see where CA would want to keep the felon away from GA. The felon seemed to have the same problem with Caylee and the boyfriends. I noticed during the interview how CA was leaning towards GA. In the 2nd interview especially GA was leaning away from CA, thought she was going to crawl up on his lap. LA seemed to be the golden child and the felon was abused at least verbally, I think physically also. I noticed at the memorial for Caylee how CA was standing by LA rubbing his back as he was speaking. This always looked fake to me, CA was "putting on a show" as the loving, comforting mother. I also remember early on it was brought out..CA's unconditional love, not dwelling on negative things in life. Sometimes people like this posture in public but behind closed doors they can be very brutal to their family.
If you would meet my oldest daughter you would think she is quiet, meek, very gentle person. You would never think she has a terrible temper, has called me every name in the book and in her teens would physically attack me until I made it clear I would have her arrested if she ever put her hands on me again.

Remember all those notes CA was taking during the trial and she even taped her deposition herself at Morgan. I believe this was done for future book/movie deals but also for reference for CA towards future spins.

:fence:

Are you being facetious or is this actually true?

I had never heard that FCA didn't want GA to come back home after they had split. I thought that was interesting.

How sickening that she would even have an opinion on what her parents do within their marriage! Shows how much power she had within that family.

  • #277
What I don't get is, CA knew and knows more about the family dynamics, goings-on in the home and Casey's nature than anyone else on earth. She knew in her heart what the truth was - she even lied on the stand because she knew it - but is now relieved because the jury found Casey not guilty ... meaning it must have been an accident?
Has she forgotten what she knew?

BBM.

Nope!! CA wants us to forget what we knew and run with the new story on accident and health issues. The re-invention of the story and rehabilitation of FCA.

It would not surprise me if CA's efforts are in collusion with FCA/DT.

Is it unusual for children to have opinions in those situations? I don't think so. I can think of plenty of people I know who sided with one or the other of their parents when there were marital problems.

Now, I think there might be some validity to that if George actually had not come back. But how much power did Casey really have, if things didn't go the way she wanted them? Not much, as far as I can tell, at least not with that scenario.

Oh...and I was so glad to find out that it was ok with Cindy that Caylee was tossed in a swamp, because, you know, your spirit has left your body and all....If the majority of people thought that way we could put funeral homes right out of business.

O.M.G.
So if she really believes that, why did she make such a big production of giving her own pets a proper (by animal standards) burial? How can she say something like that? If someone had told me that there was the possibility that it was my granddaughter lying in a swamp down the road from my house I would have kept vigil at that site for as long as I physically could stand and/or emotionally tolerate it. I wouldn't have been having dinner at the RC!!

FCA was already an adult and shouldn't have been living in the house in the first place. It was non of her business what her parents did at that point. FCA had all the power in the world and she used it by killing their beloved Granddaughter. FCA used that child to get what she wanted. She didn't want GA back because he saw right through the lieing coniving baby killer.
