[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6v9NxSUgy7A"]Drew Peterson Tells his Kids That Stacy is Not Coming Back - YouTube[/ame]

Is Thomas Peterson the son who wrote a letter to Santa basically asking that Daddy not hurt mommy anymore? I use to have that information but can't find it.

http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0802/22/ng.01.html

JON LEIBERMAN, CORRESPONDENT, AMERICA`S MOST WANTED: Well, absolutely. Yes. I mean Kathleen Savio in 2002 filed an order of protection saying, quote, "She feared Peterson would kill her." She told her family over and over again that if anything happened to her, he would make it look like an accident.

And Nancy, I have to throw in something about the kids because kids do not lie. And the Savio family shared with us a Christmas card, a note to Santa Claus that one of their kids wrote. It said, quote, "All I want for Christmas is for daddy to stop hurting mommy and for daddy to give mommy a divorce."

The Herald-News ‏@Joliet_HN
State objected to Brodsky asking how Savio felt about the divorce, saying it called for speculaton #DrewPeterson

In Session ‏@InSession
#drewpeterson Jury leaves, Connor says questioning 'way beyond financial motive', Brodsky says he'll withdraw the question. Jurors return.

In Session ‏@InSession
#drewpeterson Brodsky “I withdraw my last question. I have no further questions for this witness.”

Stacy St. Clair ‏@StacyStClair
Prosecution now crossing Harry Smith. #drewpeterson

Stacy St. Clair ‏@StacyStClair
Harry Smith tells jury Stacy indicated #drewpeterson was mad at her because she told son Tom that DP killed Savio.

The Herald-News ‏@Joliet_HN
Pros: Did she tell you that #DrewPeterson was pissed at her because he thought she told Tom that Drew killed Kathy? Smith: Yes.

Stacy St. Clair ‏@StacyStClair
#drewpeterson judge accuses Smith of looking at prosecutors before answering. Jury out of room. Arguing ensues.

Unfreakingbelievable!

:what::what::what::what:

Oh my freaking gosh. You can't make this stuff up.

In Session The sidebar ends. The jurors are then excused. Prosecutor Connor states his objection to this line of questioning, says “we’ve gotten WAY beyond financial motive at this time.” Brodsky: “We’ll withdraw the question.” The judge sends for the jury.

In Session The witness and the jurors are now back in the courtroom. Brodsky: “I withdraw my last question. And I have no further questions for this witness.” That concludes the direct examination of Mr. Smith.

In Session The attorneys head to a sidebar.

In Session The sidebar ends, and prosecutor Connor begins his cross. “Did she [Stacy] tell you that Drew was pissed at her because he thought that she told Tom that Drew killed Kathy?” “Yes . . . she told me that he [Drew] had too much **** on her to do anything to her.” “She specifically used the word ‘how’ he killed Kathy, not just that he killed Kathy, but ‘how’ he killed Kathy?” “Yes.’ Objection. The parties go to a sidebar.

In Session The sidebar ends. “When Stacy referred to ‘Tom,’ did you know who she was referring to?” Yes, Drew’s son.” “Did you hear anyone speak to her during this conversation?” “Yes.” “Who was that?” “Drew . . . he called to her, and asked her what she was doing and who she was talking to.” “Did he call her a second time?’ “To rush her off the phone and tell her to get ready.”

Kara Oko ‏@KaraOko
Smith says #DrewPeterson asked Stacy twice who she was on the phone w/ while they spoke "She yelled to Drew that she'd be in, in a minute."

The Herald-News ‏@Joliet_HN
Smith: When #DrewPeterson called to Stacy a second time, she ended the phone call.

The Herald-News ‏@Joliet_HN
Smith: during phone call, heard #DrewPeterson call to Stacy, asked her what she was doing and who she was talking to.

In Session At the time of the Peterson/Savio divorce, the property settlement was still to be finalized. “When you heard the defendant’s voice in the background, was it close by?” “Further away. Not standing right next to the person.” “When he spoke to her [Stacy], did you hear her respond to him?” “I did.” “Could you describe how loud she was when she responded to him?” “As I sit here right now, I cannot recall.” “When he called the second time, did she end the call?” “Yes.” The witness is shown a document to refresh his recollection. “My memory is refreshed as to how she responded to Drew’s first call. “She yelled to Drew that she would be in a minute.”

I'll try to take over, but I'm watching my son, so I might have to go away and come back...

In Session: “Did Stacy say to you something about a GPS during that conversation?” “I do not recall.” Once again, the witness is shown a document to refresh his recollection. “Did she say to you that she believed he was tracking her [by cell phone]’?” “Yes . . . ‘but now I have a new one he doesn’t know about.’” The State then asks for a sidebar.

The poor kid was brainwashed by his father. He IS a smart guy and IMO later in life, or maybe even after Drew is convicted (Please, God...) he will look at it in a different light. The likelyhood this was an accident are slim IMO.
He will eventually come around. Wonder what his brother and his older half-brothers have to say about this?
Does anybody remember that Drew transferred I THINK $250,000.00 to the son who is a cop and is caring for the kids. Yes he really spent that $$ from Kathleen's insurance. He already had a hefty bank account before the million bucks came along.

All MOO:moo: abbie

Does anyone know if DP is convicted of murder(God willing); would he be obligated for returning the $1million back to the insurance company?

Maybe they will bring up KS's murder when someday DP is charged with SP's disappearance. He has never been charged so they can't bring it up. After this trial maybe we will see the murder of KS ending up helping to find DP guilty of SP's disappearance. And how ironic that SP's disappearance is what got KS's murder investigation going.

Poetic justice.

abbie :moo:

:banghead: Yep, kinda like "What came first, the chicken or the egg?" scenario.

Per InSession Twitter:

State has no more questions for Smith

@Stacystclair

On re-direct, Smith says he warned Stacy to be careful that she didn't get charged with concealing a murder

@stacystclair

Smith is now off the stand in @drewpeterson case

In Session:

The sidebar ends. The jurors are then excused from the courtroom. The attorneys are arguing over exactly what was said in the witness’ previous grand testimony (regarding Drew’s custody of the boys on “long weekends”). Glasgow: “I believe he [Harry Smith] was mistaken, and I’d like to be able to show him the court order.” Brodsky joins in: “I have very clear grand jury testimony by an officer of the court.” The judge then sends for the jury and the witness.

In Session The judge calls a brief recess at this time. He leaves the bench

In Session:

The witness and the jurors are now back in the courtroom. The prosecution has no further questions for this witness.

In Session:

Brodsky begins his redirect. “Isn’t it true that when Stacy Peterson asked you about threatening to tell the police that you told her to be careful because she could be arrested for extortion?” “During that call, I did tell her to be careful. But it wasn’t about extortion.” “What were you telling her to be careful for? She could be arrested for telling a falsehood?” “No, that’s not what I told her.” “She told you her cell phone had GPS?” “Yes.” “Isn’t it true all cell phones have GPS?” Objection/Sustained. There are no more questions for this witness, and he is excused.

:what:Wow, that was explosive testimony! I am kind of breathless.
