I was thinking (can be dangerous) about the jury and what they are wearing. It may not be appropriate, but I bet it sure helps them release some tension and feelings that they have bottled up. They can't discuss the trial like us. Gosh, I don't know what I would do if I didn't have you all to come read every day and get all your viewpoints and take in all the discussions.

Red, white and blue, eh? Did they alternate the colors again like they did on black and white day?

  • #423
I would hope the jury would have enough sense not to do that and considering it might become an appeal issue. jmo

Oh, I don't they'd (the jury) do that..... I was just envisioning it as a form of comic humor. That's all, nothing more.

I didn't think I was confused, but now I am lol. The letter from Kathleen got in, right?

I will be away all day today too......What did you think of Mary Ponterelli's (sp?) testimony yesterday? Did it help Drew in any way?
I wondered what her feeling was towards him in terms of his guilt or innocence because she nodded to him as she left the stand on the first day of court.:dunno:

What was the perjury info around Kathleen that wasn't allowed to be presented? How and under what circumstances did Kathleen perjure herself?

How did you feel about things at the end of the day yesterday?e What is on board today?

Thank you so much for all your help!!!:gthanks:

:grouphug: Hang tough friends!

Mary was not that helpful for the defense, imo. She didn't say anything earth shattering. They made the points that she thought Drew was a nice neighbor and she never saw him hurt or mistreat Kathleen. And she was never told about the knife incident by Kathleen. And she thought Kathleen would have fought back hard that night. [ but I don't think any of that proves he didnt sneak in and blindside and murder KS.]

The potential perjury incident was that apparently Kathleen called Harry Smith, her divorce atty and asked him if she could get more $ from Drew if she threatened to say he killed Kathleen. It may still come in.

I felt GREAT about the day yesterday. The judge read the letter that Kathleen wrote to the jury yesterday. I think that is HUGE for the state.

Thank you! That's what I thought, but I just read a confusing blurb on the internet. Or, maybe the Hemy Neuman trial on tv got muddled up in my brain lol.

#DrewPeterson's son Tom will NOT be taking the stand today so the Prosecution can prepare for cross examination.Joel Brodsky on @AM560WIND

[ They must have agreed to give the state time cuz there is new info he is testifying to?]

The defense wants to make Tom last in all probability because of the emotional impact, IMO.

From what I read earlier - it is the Baliff who started all this "dress-coordination"!! :maddening:

<snipped by me>

Who said the bailiff started it? I know the bailiff is included in the coordinating but don't think I've ever heard they started it.

The bailiff joining in the color coordinating must mean the Judge doesn't have an issue with it - all he'd have to do is ask the bailiff to stop it. I don't care what they're wearing as long as they're paying attention to the 30 minutes of testimony they hear during the day.

The sports team stuff was carried into the DT questioning of the witness. imo THAT wasn't appropriate. But the Judge set the tone by making a joke about the jurors and apparently Greenberg felt it was ok to ride along on the Judge's joke-tail with his first question of Pontarelli. That would've made me instantly stop laughing. But Greenberg doesn't care. He and his cohorts think they're on a roll. I hope the jurors feel otherwise.
