Well, in the "real" long run, it's my belief that DP will end up in hell. Not sure that's what I'd call a 'win'.

I cannot cut and paste from this letter because it is a pdf file.

But it is AMAZING and it can get him a guilty verdict, imo.

In Session The judge/attorney exchange continues at length. Brodsky argues that through this letter the State is putting Kathleen Savio’s credibility at issue. Should that happen, “Then I want Mr. Smith to take the stand and tell us about this privileged information he has, about how she took the stand and lied . . . they can’t have their case [sic] and eat it, too.”

Funny. I'd say the DT has had their 'case' and ate it too from day one of this trial.

I wish that I knew what was going on........has anything happened since there was the scuttlebutt about Stacy's sister testifying? what about Kathleen's lawyer? (his stipulation?)

I watched a 2009 rerun of Dr. Phil the other day, and DP was on. He was telling a story of being with SP in the grocery store, calling him daddy in front of everyone. He said "he wanted to bash her head in", jokingly of course. It seemed odd and telling he would use that language. So here I am following the trial!

Lots of women call the father of their children "Daddy". I even call my SIL "Daddy" sometimes, if the girls are around. Wonder if his/her kids were with him and Stacy the day they were at the grocery store?

Now if she was calling him Daddy maybe he thought ppl would think he WAS her daddy. He was way more than old enough to be her daddy!!!! Or did she mean it more like "who's your daddy" type reference?

Any way you slice it, the "bash her head in" statement was un-called for.

Maybe they want to do a plea deal now. I would think these jurors have really had it by now. Or they are thinking this is what has been going back and forth this whole time. jmo

The judge just ruled that the letter was admissable, but that he MIGHT redact the part about leaving her with all of those bills, because it pained Drew in a 'cad' light.

But now they are back in chambers, and I am sure the DT is fighting like He!! to keep the letter out.

Abbie, I should have clarified: she was 17 and was purposely making him look like a pervert. Joking around. He was telling it to Dr.Phil, giving him some insight into her personality IIRC. He said he wanted to bash her head in, Like a normal person would say I was so embarrassed.

This letter is shocking, so sad, so pathetic...especially now that she is dead. Note she states he snuck up upon her and forced her to go downstairs, etc. Helps visualize a scenario where he did the exact same thing and finally ended it with her murder.

Thank God the letter will be allowed. If this does not convince the jury, I don't think anything else much can.

Now we're told state is NOT resting their case today. Smith will not testify today. Perhaps Monday. #DrewPeterson
