Dunno. Wonder who is next on the witness list and how many more there will be? This morning was almost all down time.

In Session Despite his father’s instructions not to go upstairs, the witness went up. At that time, his mother and Steve Carcerano were looking through her bedroom. “I observed Steve entering the bathroom; the door had been creaked open, it wasn’t closed . . . the door looked like it had been closed, touching the wood, but not all the way in the latch . . . I observed Steve walking into the bathroom, turning the light on; my mother was following Steve.” “What’s the next thing you recall?” “My mother going into the bathroom and screaming . . . I did go fully into the bathroom, just enough to see her in the tub.” “Where did you go next?” “I just kind of stood back; I leaned against her bed. Drew did come upstairs . . . I don’t think he had anything in his hands. My father was upstairs with us; he came upstairs after he heard my mother scream. “I left the house at this point; I was kind of in shock. I just went home . . . I went upstairs and tried to go to sleep.” “Did you see your mom and dad later that night?” “Yeah, I was tossing and turning, I couldn’t sleep. I saw them downstairs, but I just stayed in the house.”

Just got on site and am trying to catch up, just wanted to point something out.

See BBM above: Steve had to turn the bathroom light on? I guess Defense is going to say that she was taking a bath in the dark?

Talk about a Freudian (or whatever kind of) slip:

Lopez before the crowd outside, talking about Schiori (sp) and why didn't he tell her not to go home: "You're letting her go home to [Drew Peterson] a murderer?" (Size 9 foot in size 10 mouth... I had to laff...)

what a fool. That strategy isn't going to work.
We have a woman missing.

Good catch! This is one of those times where I hope someone who knows the prosecution is reading here and points this out to the jury during the trial!

Just remembered the other thing that Greenberg said on IS this morning that was so ridiculous - I'm still surprised Beth Karas didn't come back at him on it. Greenberg was talking about Pachter, his past, his conviction, sex offender and being desperate for money, and his credibility. Why wouldn't Beth say something like......"I wouldn't expect DP to go to the Pastor of the biggest church in town or the wealthiest man in the state of Illinois to find a hitman. Would you?"

The blinds on one of the bedroom windows was open, IIRC, and there was orange juice on the kitchen counter, also a cup with water in it in the microwave supposedly for tea. I think DP meant for everyone to think this happened in the morning. I believe that is why one window blind was open and the oj and cup of water was out in the kitchen. No lights would have been on if it was daylight.

MOO

Now Vinnie is talking about Ruby's little FU comment! He just had to do it, didn't he? I am almost embarrassed to say that I am rather glad he said it! I am retreating to the corner now.

And now, ladies and gentlemen, there will be 15 minutes of commercials for our viewing pleasure.

imo this guy is adding to the circus/side show atmosphere. He may have good points but he's a loose cannon - reminds me of Leonard Padilla. He could do more for victims by staying in the background and helping with TE efforts - since he wants to bring up that he's on the TE board. He can do whatever he wants with his restaurants, banning whoever he wants, but Beth Karas said this morning that he was talking with her and Goldberg about doing something to get himself thrown out of the courtroom if the Judge didn't allow Schori's testimony. And Goldberg told him not to do anything, that that wasn't a good idea. Gee, whadyaknow, he managed to get himself thrown out. We're lucky he didn't do something to make the DT to ask for a mistrial. jmt

coming forth with his testimony would be if he were to get paid. It was a degrading, completely humiliating thing for him to come forward with that testimony. Of course he isn't an altar boy! Why would anyone expect him to be?
(However, I think that his "sins" are nothing truly....an 18 year old and a 16 year old isn't really disgusting IMO but it isn't in accordance with IL law--
and tax evasion while not admirable isn't a cardinal sin either)
To me, he seemed like a regular person who has some skeletons in his closet.

You have a point there, fifteen89, but Ruby did this on his own and it was a personal choice. Like I stated; I rather enjoyed someone staring at DP down and mouthing FU. I am a grandma and usually don't even curse, but I would love to stare DP down and say the same thing to him myself!!! That is my fantasy!

The lights would not have been on if DP wanted everyone to think it happened during daylight hours with her OJ on the counter and her cup of water for tea in the microwave, IMO.

I did attend the morning, session, sleuthers. I got there about 8:45AM and was issued a ticket to get in and I was literally the last one in the room.

As you know, there was a long delay regarding what Schori said previously and how he was going to testify today.

The long and the short of it was he could not refer to it as the: "perfect murder". The judge was visibly peeved at Glascow and told him to: "stop" twice as Glascow was arguing as to what should be allowed.

I have to say it came off as the prosecution being unprepared again. Finally the jury gets called in at 10:45AM and the judge simply told them: "Good morning" without any explanation as to the long delay.

Right before the jury came in, Brodsky jokingly said to the judge: "Oh, one more thing" as if to suggest he was going to keep the delay going and the judge laughed. As impatient as the judge has been to the prosecution, I did not like the laughing between him and Brodsky.

I felt Schori was very good but I do not like the fact he had someone come with him the second time they met based on the phone call he received from SP. It made it seemed he did not trust her.

Joe Lopez was as low as you can get with the comment about SP wanting to seduce Schori. It drew a gasp from the gallery.

The jurors were listening intently and many were taking notes during Schori's testimony.

There was an observer (not me) who was escorted from the courtroom because he supposedly told Drew to F off. I did not hear or see it but when we left the morning session, the sheriff was in the hall and told anyone who witnessed it to stay behind as they needed their info for a potential criminal witness.

Lots of fireworks for sure.

Is there a window in the bathroom?

Is there a delay again? Seems as if the jury should have been back 45 minutes ago?????

Jenkasauras (Jean C.) just said on Insession that Ruby may be charged with contempt of court. She said charges were being looked into.
