Jeff Ruby arrested an hour ago in his casino hotel: Unreal if you ask me.

http://bolingbrook.patch.com/articles/ruby-to-drew-f-you-cops-to-ruby-go-to-jail

Thursday morning restaurant tycoon Jeff Ruby told accused wife-killer Drew Peterson, "F--- you!"

Not 12 hours later, the county cops were at Ruby's Harrah's Casino hotel room carting him off on a criminal charge.

A source said two plainclothes county cops picked up Ruby right around 10 p.m.

I just had a very sobering thought about this case. If DP walks, not only will there be no justice for KS, there will never be any for SP as well.

Imo and in many others opinion, SP will never be found. He could not have another body of a dead wife just happen to be found like KS. He, imo, had to dispose of this one and use the: "she ran off" line to take SOME of the heat off the incredible coincidence of having back to back wives found dead.

Not only that, if he walks he will (imo) strike again and he will be that much more confident that he can continue to get away with it if there is no physical evidence.

If DP is anything he is smart. He knows how to conceal evidence if need be. The thought of him walking should send chills to all of us who live near him. He will be hell bent on revenge on many people and you can pretty much bet, he will seek it in some way. :furious:

Does either woman's family have a civil suit against Drew? They should. They need to cut into that $6000 a month income and any assets he has. Whether he is convicted or not. And it scares me that he may walk, although today was a good day for the pros.

he could still plead out but he won't at this time. He still has time for that.
He is so smug and arrogant that I don't think that he will, but I sure wish that he would and have part of the bargain be telling us where Stacy's remains are.

I have seen some WS members have mention of psychics for missing people. Have psychics who work on missing people for the police done any work to try to find Stacy?

The only way he will walk is IF the upcoming defense experts are able to convince the jury this was an accident. The DT seems very confident they can do this. And there are several prominent medical experts who are going to testify to that.

I suppose these 'experts' are going to show us diagrams that explain how these injuries could have been caused by 'rough sex' a couple of days previously. And these same experts will show that she had 'illnesses' and medications which would have made her faint in a hot bath, and thus hit her head and make her drown.

I am not buying it, but they may be able to put on a good enough show that will cause a reasonable amount of doubt. ?

The only thing they cannot really 'explain away' is ' WHERE DID STACY GO?' I really hope that most of the jurors are aware that she is missing.

I wish the PT had asked the Pastor if he ever had someone else along when he talked to other women? Or took precautions such as leaving the door open when speaking to women in his office, etc. It doesn't seem suspicious to me that he did that when meeting w/ SP, especially considering the kind of husband Drew was. Wish that had been made clear by the PT through their questioning. Take the heat off poor SP.

abbie :moo:

I think most people realize today that clergymen have this fear that they could be accused of inappropriate behavior and do take those precautions. It's the times we live in. It is possible, though, that the person with the minister at the time was with him for some other reason and was just waiting around for him until he finished. But if he was counseling both Drew and Stacy then he was already aware there was a problem in their marriage. I believe DP was using his position as a police officer to intimidate a lot of people to get his own way and getting away with it.

Also, didn't Kathy and Drew own a bar together. That could be where some of the money was coming from, too.

I have to laugh at defense's remarks about DP telling Stacy he killed some of his own men in the Army. If there is any truth to that statement I can see the Army opening up an investigation into the deaths of anyone who served with DP. Seems to me that was not very bright of defense to bring that up. jmo

I am not sure how to scroll down to get the older tweets, but I saw a few of them about the person who came to starbucks with the pastor. I can't post every tweet because a lot of them are just peoples opinions mixed in with the facts. I try to just post the observations from the trial watchers inside.

Also, the tweets are coming out of order, in a mixed up fashion. So I try to keep some kind of order so they make sense. Those tweets about the friend at the next table came out after the redirect started, so I didnt post them because it would be confusing.

What you did, katydid, was absolutely perfect -- worry not about it!

I've read tweets during another case, and they lag, lag, and then they come bursting forth like a blizzard, and they are mixed in with other folks' observations, etc., etc. How you and the other sweet-tweeters were able to do what you did is amazing, to me. You gave us all we could handle, IMO. And here's another Thank You from me!

Beth Karras had said on Insession that there was the possibility of contempt charges for Ruby. I guess she was right.

Wouldn't it be something if Ruby could not bond out and had to spend the night in the Will county jail where DP is? He will bond out but how weird would that be?

respectfully snipped...
Plus the fact if Kathy was the type to pour the juice, put the cap back on and then put the carton away in the refrigerator does it make sense she would leave the cap off the container and let it sit on the counter?????? It sounds as if it was either staged or she was interrupted right in the middle of what she was doing. She would not decide while she was making breakfast to just run upstairs and take a bath in the middle of making breakfast?????? So this was information the investigator's missed because the juice container was put away.

I'm wondering if Nick (the neighbor kid) can remember if the carton was cold or not?? You know - if it had just been taken out, or it had been sitting there for a while... :waitasec:

I would say putting a cup of water in the microwave for tea, pouring a glass of juice and leaving the container on the counter with the cap off would not be what anyone would be doing if they planned to take a bath......shower maybe but bath, no. And you would put the cap back on the juice and put it in the refrigerator. I'd be afraid a nat or small flying bug would get into the juice and that is why the cap goes back on right away and back into the refrigerator. All Mom's know this. I don't pour the juice until I'm ready to drink it. It's not going to sit on a counter while I'm soaking in a tub. And tea has to come to a boil to taste right so I don't see it being heated and then just sitting there in the microwave until she returned. jmo

Thanks for posting this LambChop! I was actually thinking about this last night! :blowkiss:

Can I ask you a flavor, katydid?? :please: Can you post from the InSession's Facebook page? It seems easier to follow along on! :fence:

You can bet the defense is about to unload on everyone and suggest things that did not happen (affair with the pastor, etc.).

DP had said that SP would get: "dolled up" when she went to see him. I really feel for Schori's family if they have to hear any of that trash. At first it was Rossetto having the affair with SP.

They will try and trash her hard during their case and one could only hope the jury gets upset by it.

bbm

Agreed, 'dream. But surely, Shirley, the jury has a clue by now as to how this DT works. And first please note that this next remark is only aimed at certain LEO's -- and we all know those few-and-far-between types -- but surely the jury also knows/suspects what kind of LEO DP is and some other LEO's he hangs with.... Oh, some of the jurors have got to be that intelligent -- at least some of them -- so that they can see just what kind of folks we're dealing with here. Or the case is sunk.

Question about Illinois trial proceedings: After the DT's case in chief, does the PT get what is called in NC a "rebuttal" so that they can counter what the DT has presented in its CIC? TIA

If there is rebuttal, I hope the PT can mend some of the holes left there by the DT's CIC. Please let this be so in Illinois courtrooms....

Here are some :great::great: snippets from from Mr. Ruby :woohoo:

"I did not say the F word," he said. "No audio at all. My lips moved like a ventriloquist." :floorlaugh:

"That's Joliet justice," Ruby said. "We've got the trial of Rome and Joliet, and I'm the only one going to jail." :rocker:

"I'm not going to be intimidated by that low-life," Ruby muttered as he stood outside on Ottawa Street. :rocker:

Sometimes I post from both the INSESSION FB and the DP trial twitter page.

I am too impatient to post ONLY from the InSession page because they are so behind in their tweets. Sometimes they are 20 to 30 minutes behind the twitter page. :waiting:

But their summaries are the best and they are worth waiting for. I think the best thing is if one person posts the tweets and someone else posts the INSESSION BF summaries.

I pray for justice for both of these women! I hope and pray that DP will be convicted of murdering Kathleen Savio! This trial is about Kathleen and bringing justice for her and her family. I'm trying, with all I have, to keep them separate, because they each should receive justice, independently. I don't believe, if there is no justice for Kathleen, then there is no justice for Stacy. Stacy's words may help put DP away, but that would be for Kathleen's murder.

We shouldn't lose hope that someday, Stacy will be found and she will receive the justice, she so deserves.

On another note, if found not guilty, I wouldn't want to live near him or be involved, in any way, shape or form!! DP is evil, in a swarmy kind of way. I don't believe for one minute, the BBPD isn't on his side.

I think you are right, katydid23. It would be great to have the tweets as well as the Insession summaries. I am always anxious for both.

Exactly! Stacy is now very real before the jury, if they didn't already know of her, they certainly do now. Despite the fact that this photo is more recent than 2004, it still should convey the thought of DP with a much younger woman, and a reason to want Kathleen out of the way.

MOO

Catching up....great point. A bell that can't be un-rung, even if testimony is not allowed...

Can anybody comment on DP relationships with his first two wives, the circumstances of those divorces....etc....

Even in this day and age, FOURTH WIFE (absent) missing (it's been mentioned on In Session that some jurors probably know that but have been asked to disregard it if not in testimony)...is a bit unusual. This might be a circumstantial case and the judge may be limiting some key evidence, but my hopes are on the big picture. Taking the man and his history in the greater context, and then say: What is the likelihood this woman drowned when (1) there was no evidence she was taking a bath and (2) the autopsy on her exhumed body showed it was a homicide.

As much as everyone was outraged about the Casey Anthony verdict and said the jurors are idiots, the fact is they acquitted her on because they stated in the end analysis the evidence was not as compelling as the liklehood that the child drowned; in otherwords, there was as much or more evidence of that scenario.

So take that and hope for a reversal victory in this case if the jury feels that the so-called circumstantial evidence is of greater merit than the drowning theory.

MOO

I just had a thought.

I did not know about the so-called "second meeting" between Stacey and the pastor.

I wonder, did Stacey, in a previous phone conversation, allude to the subject matter of what she wanted to meet with him about? Did the pastor bring along someone else to witness the conversation? To validate that it happened?

If that is the case, I wonder why the second person was not called or allowed to testify about what he might have heard? Probably the defense fought to keep it out.

In any event, if I am a juror, right now I am thinking:
How many men have I heard of who have been married four times, have unlimited access to and carry weapons and know and consort with thugs, take out contracts on ex-wives, and two of their ex-wives have gone to extraordinary lengths to find tell people that their lives are in danger or they know that he has threatened/killed another wife? Could such a man as this kill his wife and make it look like an accident?
