He is lapping up all of this attention--all of them are......banking on if they can get this double murderer off the hook that their phones will never stop ringing with more and more business. Johnny Cochran became a household name representing OJ....Brodksy is hoping for the same.
He is certainly infamous...everyone knows that name and face by now.

Every time I see Brodsky, I recall DP and him making that call to a Radio station
Asking if they can get a date for Drew. This was after Stacey was missing.
I don't see him as a distinguished attorney. Maybe not making buddies with his client and oh yea, making an. Appt'mt with a local dentist would also help.

I don't think there was a second meeting.

This was from WindyCityGirl (post #1135) BBM:

I didn't read any mention of Rev. Schori meeting with Stacy again nor of him
bringing along someone else....that was never mentioned in the transcripts provided by InSession. Off hand I would say that if indeed that happened, I don't think that it speaks to a lack of trust, but perhaps realizing that he is dealing with something/someone potentially very dangerous (the husband of his parishioner) and he wanted a witness.
I wonder why none of us heard about the second meeting......they only mentioned the one meeting at Starbucks.
I think that Rev. Schori was a STRONG witness and should drive home a conviction. Should the defense team try to muddy him up in any way it will only prove to make them look that much more desperate. What motivation would he have for coming forward with this? None. Same with the hitman.
It is time consuming and upsetting to be part of a murder trial.

if he 'gets off' can he be tried for being a bad cop?
those illegal guns?
anything to keep him behind bars?
SP disapperance?

I was watching Vinnie Politan's special discussion about DP's children and how they are affected when one parent is accused of murdering another.

What nobody has mentioned is how they were affected since they were staying with Stacey when this occurred, i.e., she was a "step-mom". Basically, they lived with their mom and dad, then dad left mom for a younger woman, then mom turns up dead and the step-mom disappears. Yet it is said that KS' children with DP still are supportive of their dad.

The first witness of the day in the #drewpeterson trial will be Ray Clark, a Sprint records custodian.

Clark is expected to talk about how "chirping" works on Nextel phones, which prosecutors suggest #DrewPeterson and Stacy used to communicate.

still waiting for the Judge. :waiting:

why didn't the son that has nothing to do with DP since the divorse of KS and SP marriage be called as a witness?
IIRC he always thought DP killed KS.
IIRC he is the oldest adult child to 1st wife.
Why didn't 2nd wife testify to the abuse she took from DP?

a stipulation can be a good thing, but for both sides to have one from him doesn't sound promising

They wouldn't have to have trial on Mondays if the judge would start on time. :waiting:

In Session The jurors have entered the courtroom, and the State calls its first witness of the day: Norman Ray Clark to be questioned by prosecutor Connor. “I work for Sprint Nextel. I’m a custodian of records for them . . . I’m responsible for maintaining and retrieving various business documents.”

I just had a very sobering thought about this case. If DP walks, not only will there be no justice for KS, there will never be any for SP as well.

Imo and in many others opinion, SP will never be found. He could not have another body of a dead wife just happen to be found like KS. He, imo, had to dispose of this one and use the: "she ran off" line to take SOME of the heat off the incredible coincidence of having back to back wives found dead.

Not only that, if he walks he will (imo) strike again and he will be that much more confident that he can continue to get away with it if there is no physical evidence.

If DP is anything he is smart. He knows how to conceal evidence if need be. The thought of him walking should send chills to all of us who live near him. He will be hell bent on revenge on many people and you can pretty much bet, he will seek it in some way. :furious:

(Catching up here, so someone else may have already said this...)

ITA, 'dream. Another sobering thought: If he is convicted of nothing in this thing, he will be as "innocent" (and I don't mean merely "not guilty") as he was before this whole thing occurred in the eyes of the law -- as he should be.... Did he resign or retire from the police force when this thing got started? Did the BBPD fire or lay him off? IDK.

If none of the above, will he be a BB police officer again? Please know that I believe with every cell in my body that this person is as guilty of this crime (and of murdering SP as well) as guilty can be. BUT if he is judged NG, he should be able to resume his job. <wail> Scary thought....

ETA: Oops, since DP is on pension, I guess he did retire from BBPD -- but he could still be hired as a police officer somewhere else, seems to me. Still scary....

I probably missed it because I was hurrying to catch up. What color did they wear yesterday? I guessed yellow or white, I think.

DP had resigned the force so he could save his pension, IIRC.
