Drew Peterson's Trial *THIRD WEEK*

Somebody asked a few pages back about DP's Courtroom demeanor. I caught a blurb earlier on InSession. DP appears relaxed and engaged. Smiling and talking with his Lawyer's. Turns to the Gallery at breaks and makes direct eye contact. Words to that effect.

If someone falls in a tub they would reach out to grab hold of something, therefore something would have been knocked over, the towel if there, would have been in the water.....not only that with a few bruises, she literally would have had to bounce around in the tub. Another point, when taking a bath, I don't know anyone that gets in an empty tub, sits down and then turns the water on. The water is filling or already filled when I person gets in. If she fell getting in, items would be knocked over and she wouldn't have had those bruises because the water would cushion some of that fall.

I hope the jury see's this like I do, I mean it is elementary my dear Watson.

Exactly. Most people would fill the tub first, therefore, if there was a slip/fall when getting in there would also be water splashed outside the tub in addition to the items around the tub being displaced. There is no way for the bruising she sustained to have been caused by slipping in that tub either. Then take into account what was testified to regarding the toes.

My opinion of the scene is the tub was filled after she was put in it, with the drain stopper not completely engaged, therefore the water had leaked out by the time someone found her.

MOO

Also from reading comments on In Session FB page it appears the judge ruled against a demonstration not against him saying he did one as part of his investigation. Rumor though so not sure.

If the witness was warned by the State, and the witness went there anyway, it's not the State's fault, IMO.

True. Also, what difference does it make if he would get up, off the stand, and demonstrate how he got in the tub. Why in the world is that prejudicial?
I am thinking this judge is upset that he has to make so many decisions, and doesn't agree with the hearsay allowances that were made by his predecessor in the case, so he is making it as hard as he can on the pros.
jmo and I can't believe that so many things are not allowed and have to be tiptoed around! :waitasec:

Forgot where I read this, but couldn't Drew have drowned Kathleen in the toilet, and placed her in the bathtub? She had abrasions on her knees, buttock. Gash on her head could've been from her getting knocked out.

Just speculative I'm sure the State looked into this theory. Wait it is Will County however.

Thanks Bravo, that was me asking  ----so seems he is maintaining his smugness under wraps. I do not like that...

There is no way to talk about Kathy being found in the bathtub, without talking about the bathtub!

WTH is the witness suppose to say, the room that houses the friggen toilet bowl is where Kathy was located.

#DrewPeterson atty Meczyk asks judge to ban entire Blum testimony. "This can't go on and on and on," Meczyk says as he pounds table.

Prosecution PIO Chuck Pelkie has just confirmed that Dr. Larry Blum should be the next prosecution witness

In Session Judge Burmila is back on the bench. Greenberg: “I just want to clarify . . . I just want to make sure there won’t be some objection down the road if we, for example, call Mary Pontarelli.” Judge: “I don’t know what the State is going to do. I guess we’ll cross that bridge when we get to it.” With that, the judge sends for the jury and the witness

Oh, that's rich. Greenberg is worried about "an" objection?

Well, at this point, the State needs to put up "cue cards" for the witnesses reminding them not to go here, there, or anywhere; as well as for the State.

I'm so confused. How can you NOT mention the tub if a body was found in it? Where did an Order to not say the word tub come from???

Have we got any inkling as to how is DP behaving in the courtroom? Is he being his usual arrogant prickly self or is he putting on a good act for the jury?

Earlier on IS Beth K. said that he seems very confident. When ever there is a break he stands up and looks into the spectator seats and makes eye contact with people and smiles.

What I think happened, is DP came in, and grabbed KS and pushed her in the tub, he then slammed her head up on the side of the tub causing swelling on the brain, she was passed out, and dying. Blood splatter probably around the tub, he turned on the water to clean up the splatter (not much I believe) KS was bleeding really bad at this point, and DP, turned on the water to fill the tub. Once filled, he observed the scene, and this is when he fixed things around the tub, and got a towel and set it there. I'm willing to bet while the tub was filling with water, DP went and got a glass of wine, sat on the toilet and laughed at her as she laid there dead. Turned off the water, looked around, and left.

That is so professional.......

No one can control the words that come out of a mouth. You can warn them not to say something because they are not allowed to. However, the more you say to yourself, don't say anything about this or that, eventually it will come out of your mouth.
