Drew Peterson's Trial *THIRD WEEK*

Who is Judge White and why are all of his "rulings" ruling this trial??

Judge White presided over the Hearsay Hearings in 2010. The testimony there was the meat of this trial now.... and really is a better way to know what they had against Drew before it was slimmed down by various motions and rulings.

To see it in an archive form, I saved everything about this case... Go look at this section:

Thank you!! I truly appreciate it.

and another missing woman (missing since 1990) who was a former Will County Sheriff's Deputy who was fired from her job following an affair with a married coworker who she subsequently filed an order of protection against.

http://heraldnews.suntimes.com/news...ks-justice-for-sister-missing-since-1990.html

This poor woman's sister is still looking for her......Obviously this is unrelated to Drew Peterson, except for the fact that it is the same police force in the same county....and another missing woman. Since 1990! :worms::worms:

I respect and admire the work of police officers. I think it is terrible that there are such rotten examples as Mr. Peterson that give the others a bad reputation, but honestly, to me, I think that there is something really, really stinking in Will County's Police Dept.

Shoddy work, incompetence, coupled with corruption.

I've seen Robin's missing person photo before. She has a thread here at WS, but it only had one post until I saw the above article, WindyCityGirl, thanks!

Interesting too because it appears the judge in DP's trial was the SA' with trying to nail the 🤬🤬🤬 cop believed to be responsible for disappearing Robin. Very very interesting....

Here is Robin Abram's thread here at WS:

[ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showthread.php?t=115338"]IL IL - Robin Renea Abrams, 28, Beecher, 4 Oct 1990 - Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community[/ame]

ETA: I commented about Robin's case in her thread linked above. I'm sure Robin's family would be very appreciative of any support, comments and/or idea's from you fabulous WS'rs in the thread for Robin. tia

I'm STILL catching up.......

After reading the above, it really sounds like the defense pushed it too hard. Anyone beside me get the impression they're pulling their foot out of their throat?

And blowing out the matches they lit to light up their cigars.

Is it possible to sleep with our fingers crossed all night?

Rats, I was hoping it would be allowed. Is it obvious the judge was a defense attorney?

Just a bit, huh, o'girl.

As if he needed more reason to go against the PT....

Yes, people are human. The PT are humans. Patton is human. People/humans make mistakes, Greenberg.

And how ironic Greenberg is suggesting "they have to stand up and be accountable for the problems they caused". I'd like to say the exact same thing to your client, Greenberg.

:goodpost:

Amen!

I thought judge White presided over all of Drew pre-trial stuff until his retirement. Then this case went to the current judge, Burmilla.

I didn't follow closely, but understood the switch from White to Burmilla to be solely a result of White retiring.

Patton asks that she be punished and not the team. You stupid, stupid girl.

Patton will be punished by her own office for this, if DP walks...she'll be back prosecuting DUIs and parking violations.

I can't believe this happened. I think Koch and Connor are the only intelligent prosecutors in that courtroom. Glasgow is too long 'out of the saddle' and Patton is an idiot. :maddening:

Happy Day as Jeff Aston has WON TODAY speaking of elections!

It's an election year. Glasgow is up for re-election. Perhaps it isn't the grudge the judge holds from losing an election to Glasgow 20 years ago. Perhaps the judge wants to see Glasgow's opponent win this years election.

just sayin'.

Just wanted to say I heard nothing about the trial today till I sat down at the computer tonight......shock!!!!

I swear I read pages 3-11 with my jaw on the floor.

Thank you ALL for the wonderful notes/etc from the trial today. I would truly be lost tonight w/out your posts and re-copies. I am usually glued to the TV and computer when one of "my trials" is going on, but today decided to get out of the house and do some RL things. See what that got me! I doubt I will get any sleep tonight.

Justice for Kathleen.

Finally caught up. What a disappointment today is. Just sad at this point. See you in the a.m.

I think in IL in order to get an emergency order of protection the incident needs to have occured within the previous 72 hours.

In this case the report was a 'delayed' report as described previously. Why the heck did they even need to go there. As I understand it, (IANAL) it was really too late to ask for an OOP that many days later.

Ugh, what a mess. It's sad when all the defense has to do is sit back and watch the pros eff this up for themselves. Sheesh! :sigh:

After reading up to this point of the thread (page 9), I've decided that basically, Greenburg's main presence on this defense team is to sit and listen to the prosecution, and catch any errors and jump up and call a mistrial. It pi$$e$ me off that such a despicable human being like DP warrants all these attorneys, and said attorneys act like bullies and disparage Kathleen, and the Judge does nothing.

IMO, I think tomorrow that Burmila will strike only the last question, since Krnac didn't answer the question, but he will make some statement to the jury regarding the prosecutions error.

BBM. I hope so.

Thank You, this is what I was looking for the other night when I heard Brodsky say that Kathleen wanted to get more money from DP by saying things he did at work But it was Stacy asking Smith if she could threaten to tell police that DP killed kathleen and get more money in a divorce settlement.

I wish the FBI would investigate Burmila, the whole Will County LE system and the handling of Robin Abrams, Riley Fox, Kathleen Savio, and Stacy Peterson cases. They just may be able to find their "Deep Throat" to give them some pointers - especially if pensions are threatened.

Grand Jury hears enough against these scum killers to send them to trial - then, because they have more rights than their dead victims, what the grand jury heard to warrant a trial is not allowed.:maddening:

It seems some judges are more concerned with a mistrial being on their record than an obviously guilty person being convicted. Trials are just a game to some, not right or wrong - just who can outsmart the system. The victim and their loved ones justice be damned - let alone a guilty person not paying for their crime.

Sorry, I am so upset with this trial, no professionalism on anyone's part. In the meantime, DP and his swarmy crew may just get what they want - not what is deserved.
:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Thank You.The thank you button was't enough for me. I've lived in Il. all my life and everything you said right on target.

My friend across the street, who is from the area where all this is taking place, said to try CLTV. Its an all-news TV station out of Chicago. I checked it out and they promise nightly updates, plus are following the trial from opening to close every day. Might be a good alternate source for news, especially as-it-happens news. I just googled CLTV and found it.

:offtobed: abbie

I too just caught up with today's trial... :maddening: yes, also keeping my fingers crossed tonight that they just disregard the question, sanction the Pros, and move on!! :please:

Today's Sidebar count:

Defense - 2
Prosecutors - 1
Judge - 1

Total: 4

That was a good witness for the prosecution, now they face the risk that her testimony will be entirely struck from the record. Stupid, stupid, stupid. Within two hours of the judge telling them not to mention that one thing, for crying out loud.

I agree with the poster above that I'd like to see a mistrial without prejudice so they can start again.

bbm

Would they get a new judge, or stick with Burmila? (My guess same ol' DT, same ol' PT, and same ol' Judge. Same ol' -- same ol' )

It is also the land of payoffs.

Who's paying off this pros??? She cannot be this damn stupid can she?

It's like the judge told her, "Do not think about the white elephant that is in this room." Arrrrrgggggghhhh.

A murder trial in NC (streamed live, it was!) ended in a hung jury/mistrial. The defendant, eventually found guilty of 1st Degree Murder (LWOP), who was not allowed bail after his initial arrest for 1stDM, was allowed bail between the mistrial and the 2nd one that got him (1 million bucks, gave land liens, got out, returned for trial).

Strangely, the 1st chair Defense Atty was obstructionist, IMHO. He would say, "Your Honor, I want to be heard," out the jury would go, oh, so many times.... but not quite as bad as this one; but the judge was very unbiased, patient & fair.... (imagine that, would ya?!)
