The jurors have to be aware that Stacy is missing. They're not sequestered, are they?

:seeya: They are not sequestered, so I am going to "guess" that the jurors must know that Stacy is missing ...

:waitasec: At least I hope they do ...

:waitasec: But then again, ya never know with juries ...

#DrewPeterson jurors dressed in black today, after wearing all blue yesterday and all red the day before that.

I have never heard of that, worried about what o wear and what day???

The defense will have no chance of tearing Rosetto down as he has zero reason to lie about it. He will not profit from it and he and Stacy were friends, so it stands to reason she would confide in him.

This afternoon will be the most explosive testimony of the trial and testimony that should sink DP.

Hmmmm......I would think that it would be difficult to wear ALL red....especially if I were male. So, the men wore red pants and red shirts??? Kinda strange...

We'll have to see what the judge's instructions are to the jury before they begin deliberations, but if they discuss something he's told them not to consider any guilty verdict won't stand up to appeal.

I don't like these antics of dressing in the same colour either, the jury has to be above reproach, otherwise an appeals court will look twice at their verdict.

But from what I understand, he does not even want them to KNOW she is missing. So he will not admonish them not to discuss it. He is hoping they are not even aware of the missing person case.

But it is going to be natural thing for one of them to wonder why she did not testify. And I have to believe that at least one of the 12 knows she is missing.

They were told, three years ago I believe, NOT to read or watch anything pertaining to Drew Peterson. So I guess the question is how diligent or strictly adherent are they?

From looking at the jury description, it is possible that a few of them have no idea about Stacey being missing. But I have to believe that several of the women KNOW about it. I wonder if it will be discussed by yhem during deliberations.

I mean if they talk about her and what she told others, then won't the jury wonder why she was not called to testify?

:waitasec: I thought the jury was just selected this past July 2012?

Nope. IIRC, there was some kind of weird process where a bunch of them were 'put on hold' a couple of years ago, and asked not to read or watch anything to do with DP because they were going to be in the small pool of possible jurors. [I will try and find a link. ]

http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/8-Jurors-Picked-in-Drew-Peterson-Trial-163532566.html

The jury pool has remained in a holding pattern since they were chosen two years ago and told by a judge to avoid watching or reading anything about the Peterson case. One potential juror Monday admitted to watching the Lifetime movie, "Drew Peterson: Untouchable."
"We're going to be very careful and deliberate to find a jury that's going to be as fair and impartial as possible," said Peterson's attorney Joel Brodsky, "and who's going to judge this case on the evidence, or better, the lack of any evidence."

Which is why it's ridiculous for the state to not be able to mention that it just so happens his 4th wife Stacy is missing after his 3rd wife: "died in a tub".

My personal belief is the choice of clothing isn't something to worry about at this point. It's showing unity, at least as far as agreeing what color to wear. We shall see if they are in such solidarity when deliberations begin.........

This is true. However, I think juries want to hear a motive, and they want to hear how a victim died, which is two things the jury never heard in Casey's trial. Here, they have a motive, means and opportunity. They know how she died, and they know he had every opportunity AND reason to kill her. And if they don't already know that his last wife is missing, they will know it before the trial is over. So....... I don't think he is going to get away with it. JMO.

I'm still not going to get my hopes up.....there is one major thing lacking that was also missing with CA.....that is a physical evidence tie to the dump site.....wondering if the PT has any physical evidence linking DP to the bathroom or bathtub or KS body?

They shouldn't be showing solidarity and unity before deliberations have even begun. They're there as 12 fact finders, not as a unified group. We all know that if they convict, DP will appeal. I don't want this jury acting in any kind of a manner which might make an appeals court look askance at their verdict.

I can't wait for Scott Rossetto to testify. One thing for sure, he is not at all intimidated by DP. Here is a statement from him in 07.

"The suspicions swirling around Drew Peterson, 53, have not frightened Rossetto. "Let him [try to get me]. I don't give a crap," Rossetto said. "Why would I be afraid of Drew? What is he going to possibly do to me? He's more than welcome to try busting into my house." Rossetto said he was not tempted to indulge in an affair with Stacy Peterson. "No. I didn't want any baggage," he said. "Sorry, she had a lot. She was married to a Bolingbrook cop and could've made my life miserable. I wasn't risking it. And I knew Drew well enough to know to stay away from her." Rossetto said he didn't know that police are looking at him as a lover of Stacy Peterson's. "I'm sure Drew probably thinks that, but I could care less about what Drew thinks," he said. Drew Peterson said Friday he knows little about Rossetto -- but he knows of him. "I heard of him," Drew Peterson said, but added that he had "no idea" how long the Shorewood man may have been involved with his wife."

The Drew Peterson jurors filed into court today wearing black or dark blue clothes. Yesterday's color was blue. What does this mean? They're out of court so much while attorneys argue motions that, perhaps, they've created their own game to play with us..

Maybe it means they were paying attention to the location of the bruising and that the bruising was not consistent with a fall.

I'm sure they don't and if they did, DP has been in the house enough times where it would be expected his DNA could be there.

I fully understand what you are saying, and I agree. I'm just seeing this in a different way, that perhaps since they can't discuss the case yet, they found some common bond in agreeing what to wear the next day.

I don't want this jury thinking they are in a club or taking this case not as serious as they should be.
Who is the most influential person on this jury?
Is the foreman a man or woman?
