Are these guys up for re-election?

Thank you. I'm going to have to get a strong drink to watch this, me thinks.

I just can't believe how reckless this guy was knowing he had been in contact with the disease. I wouldn't sleep in every bed in my house if I had a flu or cold, let alone possibly something worse! When someone in our family is ill we avoid and quarantine the best we can in our house. How irresponsible!!

I still am floored by the fact he slept on every mattress in the apartment. Was he trying to give all of them Ebola?

OMG ! Was he on a mission? To exact revenge ? On a love gone sour ? ( yes I know but that' my ws hinky meter talking , just ponder it for a moment )

I realize this strain of ebola is particularly deadly and thus scarier, but ebola has been around for decades. Polio and TB are still in many countries. But we don't see more than a few isolated cases here. The infrastructure we have in place makes a huge difference in a lot of different ways. Of course some sort of epidemic is not impossible, but that's always true. I don't see how this situation is being made to seem so out of control. I'm not saying it's not a concern, but people seem to not realize how many dangerous diseases there are out there that don't ravage the US, even with global travel. Just the fact that we talk about this stuff puts us so far ahead - we have a lot more knowledge at our disposal than a lot of people in poverty and disease-stricken countries.

OK I have to say what I've been thinking. This guy went to the ER and I would bet he had NO insurance. So he got a minimal look over and was sent out the door- no sense wasting time on someone they can't run a bill up on.
I know nothing of this hospital- so perhaps I am being unfair but this is why health care in the US has such a terrible reputation the world over.

Oh thanks. That is good news. So out of 6 patients being tested earlier today, we have 3 negatives. If anyone hears about the 2? ( i heard initially 1, then it changed to 2 ) in KY and the other one in DC, please post it. I'll be really relieved when those are all in and negative !

There has to be photos! Mailonline, The New York Times and The Washington Post have excellent sources down here.

[h=1]Ebola patient arrives in Germany from Sierra Leone -local officials[/h]
A Ugandan doctor suffering from Ebola has arrived in Frankfurt from Sierra Leone for treatment in the city's University Hospital, local government officials said.

There goes my brainstorm. Oops

ETA Whoa , wait. So someone gave them a new house as in permanently ? So when he gets out of the hospital, if he does , he gets to move into the new house with her ? That's a pretty good turn of events for this fellow, huh?

Okay, I lied - back again. The apartment building that they lived in will probably be torn down. I am not an alarmist by any stretch of the imagination. I am a 61 year old professional woman with children and grandchildren. I do call a spade a spade though.

Not according to the infectious disease Dr who said the waste treatment facilities weren't enough.. That waste had to sit five to ten minutes in a special solution before being flushed.

I would think chlorine and exposure to Sun light would kill Ebola.
