There is a wedding certificate from someone of this name born ~1961 from 1985, the wife "JVM" got re-married a couple of years later in New York.
There is also evidence of him moving to New York and living there until at least 2020.

Very interesting. If he were alive and using his own name and social they should have been able to find him. You would also think that the family would be able to find him. I wonder when the last time police looked at this case.

In my experience, "lost contact" cases, especially if they are old, rarely get any attention. I've found multiple people that were literally in the social security death index (without being declared dead). So they just died and police didn't even run their SSN before uploading to namus.

I've reviewed the case again today and am wondering whether I should send the documentation off to LO. It is him, I even the birth date is confirmed.
