I only saw the photo, not the video. Is that her husband or the Dr.? He is damn fine!

What now? Are we going to see a competition between women to see who can be on the records for the oldest births? Or births of multiples? :hand:

I see it as ridiculous and beyond selfish. I say that partly because of her:liar: stated reasons for doing this. AND, by the way, I'll be 60 in less than two years and I look MUCH younger than her.

There's an interview on the front page of CNN with the woman. I'm pretty sure the hot guy wasn't her husband, as the guy next to her wasn't hot at all. Well, he looked like my grandpa so maybe that's why I thought that.

Notable quote from the interview. When asked about her advice to older women she said: "Don't get a dog, get a baby."

She also looked botoxed or face lifted to high heaven.

No reputable adoption agency would give a healthy newborn to a 60 yr old woman when their are infertile 30 year old couples waiting in line for healthy babies.

This 60 yr old mom is beyond selfish, and I wonder what her kids will think when they have no aunts... no uncles.. and a mom who looks like everyone elses great gramma maybe making it to their highschool graduation.

These kids might have a good childhood, but they might also need to consider inlaw quarters to their first houses. Their own children will most likely never have grandparents on the one side. What a shame.

This is so wrong on so many levels. I am pushing 60 and there is no way she is equipped to handle twins much less anything else. We slow down..children require a lot of attention. She should be enjoying her grandkids not her last menstrual cycle. If this seems mean it isn't but a reality check.

a healty new born no. perhaps a child with special needs or a older child. if her act was not so selfish she could have tried that.

A couple of years ago my cousin and his wife found out they were going to be parents- unexpectedly. He was 52- she is in her early 40's, both had adult children, he had grandchildren old enough to babysit. A couple of months later, they found out it was twins.
They are doing great. Cousin has more time available to spend with the kids now and he is still active enough to do it and enjoy it. He provides a lot of care for the kids along with his wife.

Sounds terrific.I have no problem with older parents but 60 just seems to old. I know someone who had 4 kids then found out they were having twins.What a shock! It is like a double Blessing is'nt it. I think it is a case of go with the flow as it was meant to be...

Just saw the 60 yr old mother being interviewed on TV and she said that she feels more maternal now than she ever did, I think she might be a little bored or is in denial about her age.

There is a difference between an unexpected pregnancy and a planned one. If I really wanted to be a parent in my 60's I think I would look to adopt one of the many children who need homes.

None of us are guaranteed and time with our kids but the chances of her dying while her child is young is probably greater than my chance of dying right now. I do not want to offend any of the older crowd in here but there is a reason you have babies in your younger years. There is a reason you are fertile only to your 40's. My mother and aunts all love their grandkids and great neices and nephews. they are in their 50's and 60's and can definetly see now that it is a sport for the younger women.
This whole thing is like something out of a mad scientist lab.

I think it is her hubby but the article said they have been married 38 years. They must frequent plastic surgeons. This is exactly what happens when selfish, ridiculous people are given the blessing of alot of money.

You don't offend me. I'm 52 and will be 64 when the youngest grandchild I'm raising turns 18, and I'm just hoping that I live even that long. It's so much harder now than when I was young and I think that woman is nuts to be doing such a thing. Her daughter will probably end up raising the children because she could be pushing up daisies before the kids are grown.
