At least 14 bodies have bee found buried in the garden of former police officer Hugo Ernesto Osorio Chavez. He was arrested on 8 May, suspected to have murdered a woman and her daughter. When the police began to dig in the garden they began to find many more bodies.

El Salvador ex-cop had 14 victims buried at his home
Expolicía tenía enterradas al menos a 14 víctimas en su casa en El Salvador

Oh, my!! Did news just break on this in the US and UK? Any additional information? The reporting seems sparse, especially given the number of victims. May they all be identified. May justice be served. May they rest in peace.

Dozens of skeletons exhumed from mass graves at home of former El Salvador police officer

El Salvador officials say graves excavated at the house of a former police officer contained as many as 40 bodies, most believed to be of women.

The remains of at least 24 people have been recovered so far at the house in the municipality of Chalchuapa, about 78 kilometres north-west of the capital San Salvador.

Exhuming all the bodies could take another month, authorities said.

He must have thought he was untouchable burying them at his property. Or perhaps he kept them close as trophies. This must have been going on for a long time with so many bodies. I wonder what actually happened for him to be a suspect.

According to one of the linked articles above: "On Wednesday a local judge ordered the arrest of 11 people linked to Osorio Chavez. The accomplices were accused of aggravated femicide and aggravated homicide."

Thinking what the victims must have suffered brought the water to my eyes. May there be Justice for each and every one.

Relatives of missing gather at former police officer’s home after mass grave found in backyard

Relatives of missing women gathered at the home of a former police officer after a mass grave authorities believe may contain at least 40 people, most of them women, was found in the backyard.

Justice and Security Minister Gustavo Villatoro said DNA samples are being collected from residents in the area with missing relatives to see if there’s a match with any of the exhumed bodies.

The prosecutor’s office said the victims may include girls aged nine, seven and two.

Astounding is they fired him all those years ago. The way police corruption goes on there?

Scarry enough to live in El Salvador. To be female in El Salvador? Can't fathom day to day life.

Wonder if arrested associates are cartel?

El Salvador: dozens of bodies found at ex-cop’s house investigated as femicides

"Prosecutors have issued arrest warrants for nine other suspects who may have acted as accomplices.

Mauricio Arriaza Chicas, director of El Salvador’s national civil police, said on Wednesday that the suspects included former police officers and former soldiers as well as people smugglers and others who helped lure the victims to their death "

The latest news reports seem to say there have been 24 bodies found...so far.
And that it was some sort of a sex gang thing.

It is absolutely terrifying even to imagine what those poor souls had to endure. RIP. But Justice is coming!

Question here. In numerous images Diablo here has a bandage on his left wrist.

Later in images of him I guess locked up there's bandages on both. Although the image of him being escorted from his home all barefoot, red shorts, blue shirt it's only right hand.

Is this a form of restraint? Did he try to slit his wrist? Just wondering. Sorry if unrelated question. I always do Google image. TIA!

I wonder about his family. Is he married, has kids? They will live in infamy from now on. They are victims too - well, provided he has a family.

With so much going on, maybe he lived there alone.
It's amazing he was able to find anyone else willing to go along with what he was doing.

I'm surprised that no one who knew talked about it.
Or maybe someone did ? I wonder if any of the others paid him to be part of it?

I wonder about his family. Is he married, has kids? They will live in infamy from now on. They are victims too - well, provided he has a family.

What on earth!? Did he not have any neighbors or family or friends? Wouldn't the decomp odor be pretty strong? Wouldn't someone notice that he was constantly digging in the yard? (Given that exhuming all of the bodies may take another month!) This is unreal!

That's terrifying! Those poor victims. (Also, makes me think about Gilgo Beach.) I guess it is possible to get multiple accomplices to remain silent.

It makes me think of Gilgo Beach as well... when I first saw the article in the news I thought “what if they’re connected somehow” .

El Salvador is one of deadliest countries outside a war zone. The gangs run it. Their tactic is murder, disappearances in masse, and sexual violence.

JMO but this former cop is ganged up. So who would tell? It's so disturbing. However it's El Salvador.

May include girls "aged 9, 7, and 2"!!! I wonder if this could have anything to do with the recent bust of a global ring of people involved with Child Sex Abuse Material (CSAM)?

May those who loved these precious ones be comforted in some measure by swift justice for all involved in their death.

Families get remains of El Salvador 'House of Horrors' victims

SAN SALVADOR, Oct 7 (Reuters) - The skeletons of 12 people in El Salvador, found inside a clandestine grave site at the home of a former police officer, were returned to relatives on Thursday, the latest development in a gruesome case that has shocked the Central American country.

The remains of the victims, including two boys and a girl, were handed over to eight families in a private ceremony inside the country's forensic institute of legal medicine in capital San Salvador.

A Reuters witness said a caravan of vehicles then carried the remains to different locations.
