It's basically a taser belt. I believe that she wore it whenever she came to court because she always fought showing up - even when she was ordered to come to court.

She's been disruptive in jail, stubborn about not wanting to come to court, and it was assumed that she might need to wear it in court if she was still disruptive.

That's why after her outburst yesterday the judge told the attorneys that he thought she was just emotional, and not being disruptive.

I am not sure if all their trials start late but it sure seems like this judge runs late. I am only basing my info from the TS trial and this one.

I wouldn't bet against you!

It does seem like there is a chronic late start with this and the Tammi Smith Show, doesn't it? Maybe something with the jury?

I am not sure if all their trials start late but it sure seems like this judge runs late. I am only basing my info from the TS trial and this one.

I think the problem is how they run their court - allowing other cases until 10:30, and then starting the trials then. I think they should start their trials first, and then deal with other cases at the end of the day.

Sounds like someone tried to help her look appropriate for court but . . . you can dress them up but you can't take them out.

Anyone willing to make bets on the most inappropriate timing of Ms. EJ's outburst today? I am betting it will be during a statement where she conspired to keep baby Gabriel away from Logan but not when they are discussing her confessions of murdering the child, giving him to unknown people, or when other family members discuss how sweet, cute, delightful, loving, and inquisitive (or any other qualifying information about Gabriel). Actually, I know they are not allowed to talk about where Gabriel might be right now . . . but has anyone heard anything that might identify Gabriel as unique vs. any other child in the world out there? Who speaks for Baby Gabriel? What was his little personality like? The elephant in the room is without description and it hurts me to the very core!

Gabriel is not even a close second to the "rights" of the she devil. How they can have trial and not mention where or what happened to baby Gabriel still eats my lunch.

Judge @ his chair . . .apologizing for lateness due to Judge schedule. Good news they will be chopping off multiple days at the back end of the trial. EJ is in a light blue collared button up shirt.

Natalie Robertson on stand . . . Natalie explains she has bad eyesight as she attempts to get settled into the chair. She lives with boyfriend and 3 kids (15, 14, 11) on Priest Lane . . . trailer next door to Logan and EJ. Natalie describes light tan shirt, explains she is color blind . . .toxoplasmosis - parasite causes scarring in her eyes. . . . little by little eyesight is going . . .can see everyone in room but starting blurring . . . can see perfect out of mid of left eye. . . . back in Dec. 09 she could read text messages without reading glasses and can see far away better than she can now. She moved into trailer 2004 or 2005. Logan and EJ moved into trailer Sept or Oct 2009, saw Gabriel but never got to hold him. Recalled seeing first time Logan was trying to get AC to work, not much contact w/EJ after that . . . say hi to her or someone called for her on the phone she would take cellphone over to her. Never hung out at each other's homes for coffee. . . Natalie was gone alot - stayed with her Grandma @ Chandler Regional Hospital or @ Gma's home. Didn't hang out with Logan. He did a lot of yard work - did alot of work on the house . . . saw Logan taking walks with baby and EJ. Sometimes he would have baby in the stroller while Logan working on the house, cuddle baby, saw Gabriel and Logan and EJ taking walks together quite a bit - perfect time year for it. Eventually noticed truck wasn't there anymore, (Logan's) . . . recognized it as being his. Around 5 or 6 days into December didn't see truck around home. Never saw EJ move out but saw there was a guy alone there - roommate or something but never talked to him. never saw this man move in. Noticed car over there few days before he moved in, he was 5'8" or 5'10" brown hair - thin. Just said hi to him once - I saw him moving out maybe 3 or 4 weeks later. Not sure how things started but got home her boyfriend told her EJ had been upset and used their phone - cell phone - flip phone. When a lady called she took phone over to EJ - EJ didn't want to answer door at first until she realized it was just Natalie @ the door. She was always standoffish toward Natalie. AFter found out about this case in news contacted Tempe police to let them look @ her phone. LE searched trash cans up and down their street - provided info (very little info known) to LE - as Natalie didn't really know what was going on.

Calling Gabriel Sollis

Gabriel Salas on stand . . . boyfriend to Natalie - lives next door to where EJ and Logan lived in trailer. Sept - Dec 2009. Remember having them as neighbors right next door on the east side. First time met them, he and Natalie were out taking care of yard enjoying nice day. EJ and Natalie started talking about Gabriel's and Natalie's 2 dogs. ID'd EJ in court. ID'd Logan in blue shirt (with black tie looking very nice btw!) They had general greetings prior, saw baby Gabriel and Logan together - Dad was tending to the child while making improvements - putting up fence around border of yard and gardening. Logan and baby Gabriel were within few feet of each other. Baby in stroller. EJ asked to borrow phone one day while he was the kitchen cleaning . . . he knew that she didn't have a phone - seemed a case of urgency as she said Logan had baby and EJ didn't know where baby was. Gave her the phone from doorway - use it as long as needed and return it when she was done. EJ returned phone sometime later - a few hours later. This happened 12/8/09. Later discussed EJ using phone with police. not quite certain how they gained knowledge of what had occurred - there were reporters and police who arrived with Logan. They explained EJ used phone - they eliminated which numbers were their own phone use and which ones they could not identify and probably made by EJ. EJ had phone 2-4 hours. Around late Nov or Early Dec. didn't see Logan's work vehicle there anymore. Didn't see anyone else's vehicle after he stopped seeing Logan's vehicle.

is she ever gonna get charged for the baby's disappearance? I know she has been sitting in a cell for two years, they have enough time to put stuff together to prosecute her. If this doesn't work (which it aint looking good) I sure hope the DA in AZ or TX picks up the ball!

IIRC, Tammi testified that EJ called her at NIGHT about adopting Gabriel, but all those calls on the neighbor's phone was in the afternoon.

Aguillar just helped the defense, but testifying that she didn't know what the papers were that Tammi had her sign. I can see the defense using that statement to back up that EJ didn't know what she was signing in the court docs where TPS wrote CC's name on it.

Real life is getting between me and this trial. I appreciate all who are keeping up with it. I'm annoyed with InSession for pulling the plug before testimony is completed. I have exterior work going on and it's in and out, in and out.

Det. Frank J. Aguilara sworn in takes stand. . . Tempe Police Officer - 23+ years . . . now patrol division patrol officer since 6/11 of this year - prior he worked in sex crimes and child crimes - he also used to work in gang unit, criminal investigations, robbery unit and since 1996 he has been a hostage negotiator and crisis/suicidal negotiations. 40 hrs basic negotiator school + 40 hrs advanced plus monthly negotiator trainings in their unit. Used those skills on calls approx. 50 times. Skills used on a daily basis - suspects, victims, anyone in crisis to talk to them and manage situation. On 12/10/09 - working robbery night squad - 4pm - 2 am. Got called to assist in missing child case about 30 minutes after midnight. . . advised by Sgt. Riley - patrol had been out on situation for over 5 hrs - missing child trying to locate - arrived @ trailer after 00:30 hrs. Duties were to take unmarked vehicle and unmarked self watch residence trailer #53 to see if Ej would leave the trailer - if she did - he was to follow her. After arriving @ residence - Sgt Carlton - having worked together decided to go chat with EJ and try to accomplish what patrol had not been able to accomplish in 5+ hrs. EJ invited them in. The Sgt did most talking with her. When he developed info from EJ - he stepped out. Sgt's do not write reports - true . . . . he regularly writes reports not only what he observed but also what Sgt also told him. Id'd EJ in court. Sgt Carlton and EJ took seat @ dining room table- This det. was standing somewhat behind her. No other officers present in the home and none outside - they had all been released from the scene. He doesn't believe he searched home for Gabriel as other officers had already done that. Help EJ understand they needed to ensure baby safety and location - she told them baby was safe. They advised they needed to verify child safety. EJ said child was adopted. First recanted adoption and said "well he is not adopted yet" and then told them child was in north scottsdale and told them TPS name. Didn't know TPS number off-hand - but showed number on housephone caller ID. There was 1 phone number - took Det. to a business - took some time to determine TPS and business name he was able to leave a message and TPS called him back. EJ advised she had gone on trip to Boston - met this lady TPS during layover. EJ talked w/TPS about adoption at the airport. EJ never called her until recently. EJ said she gave guardianship or custody paperwork - didn't really know what the papers were . About 1:30 am - TPs returned his call then he returned Tammie's call. TPS did verify she had the baby. Det. then went to Smith home. EJ talked about idea reason . . . she wanted to keep baby but had no help and no family here - no way to provide for baby. He went to a very dark desert area to Smith's home - saw Gabriel. Det had asked for photo of Gabriel from EJ and had it with him when Det went to Smith home. Child was in bassinette asleep - used flashlight and photo to Id child. EJ talked about paperwork and Det obtained those papers from Smiths. Exhibit #9 already in evidence - looks similar to document TPS provided of Temp. Guardianship papers dated 12/9/09. AFter verify child was safe @ Smiths - he advised 3 different Sgt's status of baby. Det was advised Sgt would contact Grandfather. His involvement on 12/27/09 - got call @ home from officer wanting to know where Smith's lived - Det said it would be easier to show him. They met and Det showed him where the Smith's lived. Traveled to Smith's house together. . . he was briefed on the phone why they needed to go there. Arrived @ Smith residence - 3 of them walked up to front door - introduced Smith's to 2 officers advised they were doing an investigation. Mr. Smith (couldn't remember first name) met a young girl approx 4 years of age. Doesn't recall if she was there on previous visit. 2 officers searched property and residence while he stood in foyer. He was not assigned to question them about what going on. Neither officer found baby Gabriel in home, they might have talked to Smiths about where baby was but he didn't write down any reports. He was later provided info on computer / texts between EJ and Smiths. Transferred to this Det. droid phone and then sent onto one of the officer' at the scene. He doesn't recall what the messages said . . . no further questions from anyone.
