Niece: Family won't take in Elizabeth Smart's kidnapper

Niece: Family won't take in Elizabeth Smart's kidnapper

At least the article states that there is some sort of plan for supervision.

Federal agents have found a place for Barzee to live when she starts her five-year supervised release, said Eric Anderson, the deputy chief U.S. Probation Officer for Utah. He declined comment on whether she will be in a private home or a facility, but she "will not be homeless," he said.

Elizabeth should not have to have this burden of worry and concern. In that way the justice system failed her after all is said and done I think.

People who have a Dependent Personality Disorder can't be re-wired. This can't be "fixed" with medication, or counseling.

I am just glad she got any prison time. I was worried she would get the "Hedda Nussbaum" defense.

Why is her presence in the community so dangerous? Because she will do ANYTHING to please her MASTER. She has no moral character. She "seems" like a harmless old woman, that is the deviousness of the guise. A forceful person can get her to do their bidding. She better be supervised. She is a danger to the community.

Pretty disgusting that this 'thing' who sat by and watched, or even encouraged Elizabeth to be abused is being 'helped' to find housing (when there are many homeless --- vets and others who have committed no crimes)... and will her activities be monitored ?
Or can she come and go at will .... and if so-- I have a problem with that !!

Would she be able to slip away from any supervision and find a new 'man' to assist ?

Sounds ludicrous. But I'm sorry that ES has to think about this woman walking around freely.
ES is stronger than I'd be in her circumstances. And she has helped others as well. I've nothing but the utmost respect for her.

While I only have revulsion for this woman, it is far safer for the world that she is not homeless and ready to be picked up by another man like him to help him, just for a place to live.

But isn’t it so sweet that the state is making sure she is not homeless!!!

She has a "home", in prison. Where she should stay, for life.

This woman aided a man who kidnapped and molested a young girl repeatedly and is now being released. It's terrifying.

No she shouldn't have to worry about those two piles of dirt ever again. Also, Elizabeth is pregnant. She does not need this.

I just watched Elizabeth Street's interview on CBS This Morning. She is such an inspiration. To put the focus on compassion for other victims moves me very much. Class act. True role model.

Jaycee Dugard 'outraged' over release of Elizabeth Smart's captor

Upon hearing that one of Elizabeth Smart's captors would be released from prison, fellow kidnapping survivor Jaycee Dugard said she's "outraged."

Dugard expressed solidarity with Smart, 30, who was kidnapped in 2002 from her bedroom in Salt Lake City and held prisoner by Wanda Barzee and her husband, Brian David Mitchell.

"Wanda Barzee is clearly equally responsible for their actions and she should not be allowed to send a message that her actions are excusable," Dugard told ABC News in an exclusive statement.

Dugard, 38, said she feels "deeply for what Elizabeth is going through knowing this dangerous person is free to walk the street."

Elizabeth Smart's Kidnapper Wanda Barzee Goes Wild First Night Out, Cops Called

As per TMZ....

"Wanda Barzee spent Wednesday night at a Salt Lake City hotel and, according to a guest staying in an adjacent room, Barzee went on a religious tirade. We're told she was wailing religious scripture at the top of her lungs.

The guest also says Barzee was loudly praising Joseph Smith, the founder of Mormonism.

A law enforcement source tells us a call came in to dispatch from a guest at the hotel, but when officers tried to call the complainant back, no one responded. They did not send a unit to check it out."

Let's see how many weeks or months until she is arrested? I think she'll attempt kidnapping again. She's delusional not fit to live in society.
I stand with Elizabeth Smart.

She reminds me of the followers of Charles Manson.
