Emotional Toll

Hangin in, hope ya'll are too. The waiting is hard. It never seems to get any easier, no matter how many times we do it.

I have been here a year and a half. Little Caylee's trial will be the first I have seen happen since joining. All the little ones I have followed since aren't even close yet :(

Justice for Zahra. It may take time, but I have faith. Otherwise I would lose my marbles.

<If nothing else, she has highlighted that true, unmitigated evil does exist in this world (something WSers know only too well), and those people don't always look evil.>

So very, very true, Faerie.

I guess that helps to remind that the opposite exists as well. Between beautiful Zahra, and those that hurt her... well it doesn't seem like there could be more of an antithesis if tried. :(

I can't imagine where your case could be moved at this point so that it would be a fair trial. Your spirit continues to sing all around the world, beautiful child. Justice is coming.

Zahra has been on my mind a lot today. My daughter got baptized today, and as I sat surrounded by people who are incredibly supportive and concerned about people besides themselves, I thought of Zahra. For the millionth, trillionth time, I wish SO BAD that I could have known Zahra. I am so much more tuned into other children in my community now. I would never want to miss a child that was in a similar situation to Zahra. I hope to never hear of another case like this... but we know that it will happen. Just for once... one time..... at least..... I wish the good guys could stop it. God Bless you Zahra, and God Bless all of you here at WS's. You may not even share in my faith, but you ALL share in my concern, determination, and dedication to what is right in this world! Thanks to all of you for your dedication and sincere concern for others.

Big ball a love comin your way Reannan. I feel the same way. That child has changed me. I think we are all a little more "on" when observing the children in our local communities. None of us wants to imagine there is a little "Zahra" down the block or across town, but if there is, I would like to think all of us might have a much better chance of noticing, of caring, of SEEing her thanks to Zahra Baker.

Oh boy, do I know what you're saying. My GD was baptized on November 20th, shortly after confirmation that the remains found were Zahra. I remember only too well sitting in that church, surrounded my family and friends on what was to be a happy day, and staring up at the larger-than-life crucifix and wondering (unjustly, admittedly) where He had been while Zahra endured Hell on earth.

I'm happy to say I'm in a healthier place now than then, but I truly believe that many, *many* humans failed Zahra horribly. As such I make a conscious effort every day to pay attention to the children around me, even (and maybe especially) those on the periphery of my little slice of the world. I don't know how any of "them" sleep at night.

I keep the MANY happy photos of a smiling, joyful Zahra in my mind. She lived a life of great and diverse experiences, great challenges, and great compassion. There was enormous love and support in her life from people who did care for her, and who were touched by her. It is clear she gave back to those around her with many of these strengths and attributes. I think there are many things for us to smile and be happy about when we consider her life.

Monday is coming...
I feel like climbing out of my skin today.
Zahra needs justice NOW, but I have the feeling it's going to be delayed. :(
I hope I am wrong- but hopeful that if it is, it will be for a good reason.

Ugh. Hanging out here again for a little while.

Yeah. Now I know why. :(
I am unhappy, but still hopeful that complete justice is coming. Also, I am crying my eyes out and thankful for this thread.

My emotions are on the angry side as I read today's news, stating AB wants to return to Australia and wants his passport back. How many parents have we read about who have traveled far distances to search and find out what happened to their children. While AB wants to return to his homeland and go on with HIS life.

IMO, LE will have a difficult time to quiz, interview and hopefully find the truth, if AB goes back to Australia. And that is not justice for Zahra or the American legal system.

Yes, I am mad...I want AB under LE's finger until the rest of Zahra is found and all trials are completed.

If AB is allowed to return to Australia, it will mean LE has no intention of holding him in any way responsible for what happened to Zahra. I don't know where to put that. :(

Try very hard to put it on the shelf where the other doubts sit. Don't even dust it off if you can help it. I am confident that this man will not escape his Karma (responsibility)--even the tiniest responsibility--for Zahara's demise. He may be walking around right now.. but remember, loose lips sink ships. Even if it's your own ship.

Complete Justice For Zahara IS coming.

And down they go....

Justice for Zahra, in progress.

wondering whose identity AB is charged with stealing? At least I can take comfort in the fact that even LE seems uncomfortable with AB leaving the country just yet, hence new charges just a day after the announcement of his plans to work towards that.

It's covered in the Hickory Daily Record article here. In short, it's BS's husband, and it's related to the Duke Power account. HTH.

I love reading both of your posts - if we can all think the way you do the positive energy alone will help find Justice For Zahara!

Just heard the news. Finally, something I can hold on to!

Thank you, HPD!

Boy it's painful waiting, isn't it?

Thank you, Mr. Gaither, Jr.

Keep up the good work.

Right now, I'd settle for a bus with bad brakes.

(I can say that, right?)

I think there might be a lot of people who feel the same way, Mountain_Kat.
