Prime items seriously damaged in this incident were the stools, basin, and countertop from a former drugstore in town, the items serving at the fountain where generations of towspeople had sat, sipping their sodas and eating their ice creams. They had been incorporated into the new school's snack bar design. Repair is, I think, ongoing.
